...(Clay's pov)
Rash had pulled up in front of a very large house. At first I thought that we were at the wrong place, but the sheer number of people that had already arrived proved me wrong.
Eric's family must be rich if they can afford all this. The enormous size of the house, and the amount of people around was making me nervous and my anxiety spike.
I took a slow breath in and out while the others exited the car. I soon followed behind, my nerves getting the better of me, making my legs shaky.
Eli clung to Rash's arm as the two of them made their way through the crowd to the house.
"You good lil bro?" Dave asked, possibly noticing my nervous state.I nodded a little. "Y-yeah."
"Alright, then come on. Let's get this started!"
With that, he bounded towards the house with his usual energy. I didn't know where he hid it. Biting back my nerves I walked towards the house, full of over hyper high school kids. There was music blasting from inside, making everything bounce on their surfaces.
I squeezed passed bodies as I moved further into the building. I ended up in what must have been the living room, cause its where most of the people had congregated to. It's also where the sound system was held so everyone was bouncing around, having a blast.I moved off to the side, a patch where there wasn't anyone acting like a crazed animal. I didn't know what to do, or where to go. I think I've mentioned that this is the first time I've been to a party before. So all this was still new to me.
"Hey, you made it!" A voice shouted beside me.
I turned to it to find Stephanie smiling at me. I nodded.
"Come to the kitchen, it's not as wild there!"
Stephanie took my hand and lead me to the kitchen, and she was right. There weren't as many people here. Mainly just a few people sat on counters, drinking and talking with each other.
"Here, get this down ya!" Stephanie said as she pushed a plastic cup into my hands.I knew the smell well. It's vodka. My 'dad' had a particular taste for it.
"Who's this?" One of the girls that were sat in the counter asked.
I looked at her, not really wanting to touch my drink. I was going to have to speak up, I knew it.
"M-my name's Clay." I said, louder than I usually would.
It made me cringe a little at how my voice actually sounded. It wasn't used to being used at such volumes. The music wasn't as loud in the kitchen, but I still had to speak up.
"He's new." Stephanie clarified while she got herself a drink.
"He's kinda cute." Another girl said.
She had blonde hair with black strips in.
I felt myself blushing when she said it.
"He's on the small side though." The girl continued."Clay, that's Amanda, Claire and Jules." Stephanie said, pointing out each as she introduced them.
Amanda had been the one who called me cute.
"He's pretty shy so go easy on him." She said.
"Clay, get your ass up here." Jules said, scooting along on the counter and patted the space beside her.
I set my drink down and hopped up onto the counter, sitting beside her. She wrapped an arm around my shoulders.
"He's adorable!" She said.
"I know right." Stephanie agreed. "You should have seen him the day we met. He was so shy."She said that like she actually knows me. I sighed internally, but it turned into a small chuckle.
"Has anyone seen Rash yet?" A girl with pink hair asked as she walked in.
The others shook their heads.
"He is here." I said. "I don't know where he went though."
"Ok, thanks!" She called as she left.
"You know Rash?" Amanda asked.
I nodded.
"How?"
"He's friends with my brother and sister." I said. "Well, foster brother and sister."
"Oh, you're Eli and Dave's little brother." Claire said. "He never shuts up about you. Knew the name sounded familiar."Stephanie sat on the counter next to me, handing my cup back to me. I took it, but I wasn't planning on drinking any.
"So Clay?" Amanda asked. "You got a girlfriend yet?"
My face went a little red. "N-no." I said, looking at my drink.
"I'm sure that'll change real soon." She said with a wink.
The others just laughed while I blushed even more.
"See, he's just adorable!"
"Hey, you gonna drink that?" Stephanie asked, noticing that I hadn't touched my drink.
"I.. Um."
"You need to loosen up!" She said, "Come on, drink up. Relax, have fun!"
