Exposed (Part 1)

I had to stay at the guild hall for a whole week until my injury healed but I was just grateful that Neko and her friends weren't hurt but as of right now I'm walking through the school.

"Professor [Ln] I heard you were injured shouldn't you be resting at home" a tall man said as I turn to face him. "Oh professor Maxwell yes but I have things to do besides it's mostly healed now" I say as he smiled before we walked toward the staff room.

"Remember what I said when you first started teaching call me Henry to think a dark guild would be so bold as to attack in front of town and our students nonetheless" Henry says as he pours himself some coffee. "I agree we have to make sure our students are safe" I tell him before my phone begins to vibrate as look and see a message of Neko.

"Everything ok" Henry asked as I stood up. "Yeah I just got a message of one of my students saying she needs to see me so I'm off bye Henry" I tell him before leaving the room and heading off to meet Neko.

I walk into Magnolia's cathedral where I see Neko standing as she looks up at the statue before noticing me. "Thanks for coming professor" Neko said as I shake my head and we both sit down to talk.

"Please it is my pleasure after all your my student so what is wrong" I asked her as she looks round before lifting her sleeve and her arm is covered in scales. "I woke up this morning like this" Neko tells me as the sadness in her eyes made me think.

"Come with me I need to check something" I tell her as we walk towards the school where I can try and help her. "Listen Neko I'm about to show you something about me and you need to keep quiet about it" I tell her as we reach my office and I lock the door and close the blinds before turning into my wolfman form.

"Your a beastman" Neko asked me as I nod before walking over to my desk and looking through the draws. "I'm sorry if I scare you Neko" I told her as she sat down as I pull out a kneedle.

"To be honest I feel sorry for you having to hide out of fear" Neko says as I take a small sample of her blood and we head to science lab to start doing research. "Don't be I'm just glad to see people like you who are open minded" I tell her as we enter the science lab and begin running tests.

"Ok lets see ok that is interesting" I say out loud as Neko was sitting next to me. "Is anything wrong" Neko asked as I pull up a screen.

"Take a look your blood cells are mutating into what I don't know but I will figure it out" I tell Neko as she looks at the cells on screen while I work. "Do you think I will become a beastman" Neko asked as I look up at her.

"Possible but you were born human so it might be possible to turn you back" I tell her and put a smile on her sad face. We spend hours work on a cure but everything fails and soon we hit a roadblock.

"Damn it nothing works maybe it is incurable" I say as Neko placed a hand on my shoulder and smiles. "You tried and that means everything to me professor" Neko told me as I look at the cell one more time before coming up with an idea.

"What if I remove this and replace it with this" I tell myself as I simulate my idea and it was successful before putting it in motion. We wait a couple minutes before the scales on Neko's arm turn back to normal.

"What did you do" Neko asked as I smiled. "I simple turned my beastman dna into an anti-body which targeted yours and destroyed it while my human side of my cells filled in the gaps" I tell her as she gave me a hug.

"Will it effect you" Neko asked as I shake my head. "No it will only effect those who were not born beastmen which means someone did this to you Neko have you seen anyone over this past week about the attack" I asked as she was thinking.

"Only professor Maxwell and he gave me a cup of tea everyday" Neko told me as thoughts pop into my head before someone in a black suit of armour smashed through the door. "Give me the girl" the person asked as I stand in front of Neko to protect her.

"You want her you have to go through me" I tell as the man charged at me slamming me through the wall and we both go crashing into the street leaving Neko in the room. "Who the hell are you and why are you after Neko" I asked as I struggle to push him off me.

"My name does not concern you as for the girl subject 001 was a failure and must be disposed of for the sake of the DarkDawn" he tell me as he stood up and grabs me by the ankle only to slam me into the wall and then the ground. "No to complete my mission" he said as he was about to head back into the school but I quickly stop him by kicking him hard in the head knocking his helmet off to reveal his face.

"No way it can't be you" I say as the shock of seeing the man under the helmet.
