The Infected & The Healer

⭐This chapter of The Infected is a little on the touchy side for a girl who is 15 in the story so don't say anything harsh or inappropriate about the chapter and I'm sorry this chapter is short :(⭐

Once I saw June I screamed her name and rocketed to her side crying my eyes out until Jojo told me she was still breathing so I told him to grab her legs so we could carry my twin sister to our refuge. As soon as we got there we told someone to get a survival kit that Leyna thankfully picked up with some alcohol to heal wounds. Everyone pitched in to help heal June and after a while she was mumbling something and no one understood so everyone went to make dinner and I stayed with my unconscious sister who said "I just realized I'm not dead". I screamed off the top of my lungs and told her I was so scared that she was dead and how I couldn't breathe when I saw her on the grass field. We stayed chatting until we ate and went to go get bunk beds for our group of girls since we had an odd number of girls (one would sleep above the dressers). Around 10 days after the start of the apocalypse I started to wonder when this tragedy would end? Would I survive or die? Would my loved ones live or perish? It just so happens that I didn't notice again that Jojo was behind me and when he slipped his arm around my waist and put me close (really close which made melt) for us to kiss June was right behind us and started to go all motherly on us. Thankfully Kayla saved us from a scolding by asking June to help her with a gun outside. Everyone else was either in the kitchen or outside practicing/on the look out. I blushed when Jojo again pulled me closer and whispered in my ear "Alone at last" when I put my arms around his neck. His hand rubbing my back we sat down in the living room couch laying down side by side we were both thinking about the same question so we asked "Is it official that we are together again?" And when we said yes at the same time we leaned in and kissed one another.
