Unveiled Truths

When Shoto came to the conclusion that Izuku was singing, he began feeling different sensations then before. Unlike the other mermaid, whose voice was more seductive and captivating, Izuku's voice acted as more of a calming or soothing remedy. It naturally lures you in with a sense of peace, like the waters of a quiet ocean.

At least it did to Shoto until another voice broke him out of it. "Izuku, Mei, there you two are! We've been searching everywhere!" Iida shouted, it was enough to stop the soft singing of Izuku and made both their heads snap to his direction.

"You actually found us sooner than I expected! I'm very proud of your improvement, Tenya."  Hatsume remarked, dragging along Izuku as she approached the two. The calming atmosphere dissipating as the singing stop. "However, you didn't tell me your friend here is such a good singer!"

"Well, that's only expected since he's a—um, from a long line of famous singers, his mother was known to be popular amongst plays." Iida commented, watching the way Hatsume's mouth opened into an 'o' shape. "Any-who, Mei that was very irresponsible of you to just snatch away my guest! Especially someone who's never been here before, it was extremely—"

"It's okay Iida, I actually had a fun time! It was a very great experience, it's why I came here after all." Izuku interrupted, laughing softly as he tried waving off any animosity in the air. "Can we go check out more booths?" He asked curiously.

"I—Um—" Iida was a bit taken aback, turning to Shoto for any help.

"Yes, let's go, I actually saw some interesting dishes whilst looking for you. How about we go try them out?" Shoto suggested, noticing the ways Izuku's eyes lit up.

"C'mon, Midoriya, I know the best places around!" Hatsume boasted, leading the team to various types of stands and booths. The two like two children as they went to inspect or try out anything they came across.

That's how the group found themselves walking through the less compacted streets of the districts, the area calmer and less chaotic. These areas had the occupants looking to rest or sizzle down from the more explosive center of the festival, simply enjoying small talk and privacy.

Hatsume and Iida walked in front of the other two, busy in their own conversations which seemed comical to Shoto. Hatsume seemed to rant about something excitedly, while Iida appeared to be lecturing or scowling whatever she's saying.

The two-colored haired boy became skeptical about the two's relationship, just now realizing the way Iida used Hatsume's first name so casually. He does the same with him, but that's because they practically knew each-other for who knows how long.

He simply shrugged it off and instead brought his gaze towards his surroundings. The place seemed less-decorative, the street covered in dim lighting with only a few ornaments or decorations amongst the walls. Shoto also noticed the others filling up space, recognizing some huddled up on steps as they conversed on who knows what, and some leaning or strolling amongst the streets.

Suddenly, a sharp realization struck Shoto in the head as he paid more attention to the other people, especially how they were all in pairs. Eyes scanning the area as he pinpointed the various subtle hand-holding, or the way some leaned a bit too close for comfort, and others just plainly latching onto each other's faces—

"Shoto, are you alright? You seem a bit in thought." Izuku remarked, staring intently above at the prince. When Shoto met his gaze, now coming to another realization that's he's alone with Izuku in this area. "Woah! Now you're getting a bit red, are you sick or something? Maybe you ate something bad—"
