Family Affairs
●▬▬▬▬▬๑⇩⇩๑▬▬▬▬▬●The sky casts away the cloak of darkness as the familiar golden disc rises across the horizon. The first rays of the sun bathed the landscape and city below in a piercing amber, the skies shifting with its movements.
The dawn was crisp and clear as the beginning of the day started with it, the curry bursting with energy as birds already began to sing their daily. Workers who labored throughout the night finally got some rest as the sun greeted them warmly. While others just began waking up, such as the Third Prince of Endea, with his eyes lazily fluttered open.
When Shoto finally came to, his vision was blurry and obscured as he lazily examined his surroundings. The first thing he noticed was that he was placed on his bed instead of the floor from which he last remembered last night.
'Last night!' He shouted to himself, shooting upwards at the sudden realization. Despite the growing headache from his movements, he sat shocked whilst the previous events replayed in his head.
The image of him cradling Izuku flashed in his mind, followed by the one of his drained body being carried out of the room. He clenched the sheets tightly as he re-evaluated his room, noticing only light changes in the scenery until his eyes met his mirror.
It was a gift from one of his birthdays before he shut himself out, the mirror given as some luxurious one of a kind object. Though, what was more fascinating to Shoto wasn't the mirror itself, instead the unfamiliar pile laying clumsily in front of it.
Shoto lazily hopped off the bed, the blanket splayed out as he warily approached it. The pile appeared to be some type of singular rope or cloth, Shoto only realizing it was a pile of bandages when he got close enough. He hesitantly reaches out to grab it, inspecting it only for his theory to be correct when he notices the specks of red, the prince quickly dropping it.
"Dammit..." He hisses out, eyes darting towards the bathroom as he remembered waking up to the familiar sounds of water. Yet, all he's welcomed with is the silence of his own thoughts, even when he rushes to the door to peek inside, his hopes don't become a reality.
Biting his lip anxiously, he doesn't think twice before promptly marching towards his bedroom's door despite his untidy appearance. Not even thinking twice if his breath smells, the prince slams the door open expecting to head towards the throne room, only for two figures to greet him welcomingly.
In front of him were two of the Kingsguard, Burnin with her signature bright hair, leaning on the wall, seemingly bored. While the other, Onima, was busy tracing his finger across the ridges of the walls lazily. If one didn't know any better, they were like children in time-out or when they ran out of toys to play with.
Nevertheless, once the foreign sound of the door opening was heard, their demeanor changed drastically as they jumped up in front of the prince.
"My Prince, good morning to you! Is there anything we can do for you—"
"I need to speak to my father, urgently, please." Shoto seethed, glaring at the two as he began to walk past them, only for a quick yank from his arm to bring him back to his bedroom entrance.
"Our apologies, but we were given strict orders from the King to not allow you to exit your room under no circumstances." Burnin declares as if she was reading it off some paper. "Any necessities such as food or clothing would be sent to you by a servant if needed."
