Kylee's POV:

It's Friday night and I still haven't talked to Blake and Sarah. They don't know I know but I also don't know what I know. But I know what I saw. Anyway, tonight isn't only the homecoming game but it's also our homecoming parade. I'm dressed in a pink sparkly dress and sitting with all the guys on the football team, both JV and Varsity, atop our float.

Above me is Sarah, standing. On one side of her, her brothers. Bryan is straight-faced as per usual in his #51 jersey. Kyle's next to him and John is on the other side with a white hat and sunglasses on. On the other side of Sarah, are my brothers, Austin and Blake, along with my cousin, Kade.

After this parade, we'll end up back at the field and we'll all change into our gear. Then we'll run out and play the first half of the game. Being nominated for homecoming court, I'll get to walk across the field at halftime. Austin, Kyle, Bryan were nominated too.

Well Kyle won. My grandfather was here to walk me across the field, in place of my father.
We resumed the game and in no time, we had won. After the game, Chase came up to me with a poster in hand.

"Hey Kylee"
"Hey Chase"
"I have something for you" he said.

He flipped around the poster and I read it:
#15, I have a GAME PLAN for you. Wanna TACKLE hoco with me?"

"Yes, of course!" I said, giving him a hug.

The homecoming dance was tomorrow night.

*****

It was now Saturday afternoon and the dance was tonight. Sarah was going to help my get ready and it's not like she really has a choice. She lives in my room. She was going to the dance by herself but I think it's because she likes Blake. And while, she hasn't admitted yet, I've started picking up on the little things. Like the side glances to Blake, the shy smiles, the giggles, literally everything. While she did a good job at hiding it at first, after that night, Blake must've lit a spark in her.

Kade let me borrow his Jeep so that Sarah and I could go and get our hair done at the salon. Sarah's mom felt bad about missing hoco, so she sent Sarah $250 on Apple Pay. Now not that I'm saying she's spoiled or anything, but who gives their child $250 for missing an event? Like what??

Anyway, we'd arrived at the salon, and Sarah and I walked inside. I was going for more of an updo while Sarah wanted hers straighten but with the hair framing her face, out of the way. After 3 hours, we not only had our hair done, but also our makeup.

Sarah paid the ladies and we were on our way. We'd both worn button ups to easily get our shirts off without messing up any of our hair or makeup. It was quite a smart idea I wish I'd known before.

When we arrived home, we went upstairs to put on our dresses and finish getting ready.
We both were wearing blue dresses. My dress was navy and had sequins and sparkles all over and I'd paired it with silver earrings and a bracelet. Sarah's dress was more of a royal blue and only had sequins on the v-neck line but also had some blue lace to cover up above the v-neck line. She chose not to wear any jewelry tonight.

Once we'd finished, we went downstairs to wait on the boys. Chase and I had decided we'd meet up there, since it was easier. I mean there are like 7 teenagers from just this household going. All of us are meeting up with our dates their. Well those of us who have dates.

At homecoming:

Once we'd arrived, Sarah and I stepped out of Kade's Jeep along with Blake and Austin while Kade went to park. Austin and Kade had been in the front seat while Sarah was between Blake and I. I knew she secretly liked that a lot.

Bryan and Kyle went to go pick up John, Bryan's best friend, who I actually hadn't seen in a while. A few minutes later, Kade had appeared with Bryan, John, Kyle, and some girl. Turns out the girl was John's cousin whom I didn't even know existed. Apparently her name is Kyla and she's in the same grade as us.

I left the group to go find Chase and a few minutes later, I'd found him. We entered the decorated gym together and Chase headed to get drinks. I was in a beautiful gown and he was in a nice tux. I found a table and went and stood by it. While waiting for Chase, some of the guys from the team showed up.

"Hey Harrell, I heard you and Chase went on a date" one of the guys, Jacob, our center, said.

"Yeah we did. I'm actually here with him now."

"How'd Bryan take it?" Roger, our tight end, asked.

"I'm not sure exactly. He's been all over the place." I said.

"How are we supposed to find out who wins the game then?" Zander, the linebacker, asked.

"Look we just have to find Bryan and see how he takes it" Ford, the nickel back, suggested.

"But if he's been all over the place how are we supposed to tell?" another guy asked.

"Guys remember, Bryan gets mad- red team wins, Bryan doesn't care about Chase and Kylee's date then blue team wins." Jacob stated.

"How are we gonna find Bryan then?" someone asked.

"Well I saw him earlier" I said.

"And when we find him, how are we even gonna know what to say or do?" Evan, the offensive guard, piped up.

"Alright well everyone split up and Kylee, you stay here with Chase and make it seem normal." Roger said.

As everyone left, I spotted Chase starting at me. Obviously he heard the whole thing. It didn't look good. I actually liked hanging out with him. He was great and I didn't do it just because of the stupid game.

"Is it true? Is it true you had to go on a date with me?" Chase asked, hurt.

"Yes" I mumbled.

"Is it true it was all just some game to settle a tiebreaker?"

"It wasn't all like that"

"Save it Kylee. I'm done" Chase said, storming off.
