The house was quiet. Sun filtered through the curtains, falling over the objects in the bedroom.

Masaru turned to his right, looking at his still sleeping wife with a soft smile. Everything was still, calm and serene, yet the nagging worries clouded the peace and forced it into a back corner in his mind.

He pushed himself up into a sitting position carefully, trying not to wake Mitsuki as he swung his legs over the side. Katsuki hadn't made any noise yet, so he assumed he was still asleep, but it was better to check on him before he did eventually wake up.

Though, as soon as he opened the bedroom door and stepped out into the hallway, he noticed a draft. It wasn't much of a shock; the house was large and old so sometimes there would be small drafts, especially when someone accidentally left a window open. But this was different. The muffled banging that came with the draft was puzzling, definitely not normal.

He headed towards it cautiously. Not a single fleck of dust was unturned, yet when he went downstairs the front door was hanging open. His first, rational thought was that they had been robbed, but after checking the house nothing was missing. Then he was hit with a scarier realisation.

He rushed up to Katsuki's room, ignoring Mitsuki confused yelling at his sudden loudness as he sprinted by.

The curtains were still drawn, leaving the room dark, but the empty bed could've been spotted from miles away. He deflated, looking at the bed with rising panic and fear.

"What is it?" Mistuk said as she approached, tying her bathrobe around her waist.

Masaru turned to her and gulped. There was no good way to put this.

"Katsuki's gone."

———

The cave felt like it was closing in on Katsuki. He was bent forward, elbows rested on his knees and head in his hands. He tried to take deep breaths like his anger management therapist had taught him, but he was seconds away from exploding.

Having those green eyes that somehow managed to look guilty and terrifying at the same time watching him wasn't helping. How Izuku managed to look like a kicked puppy, despite being what he was, baffled him.

"Kacchan," he went to take a step forward.

"Don't," Katsuki growled, glaring at him through the corners of his eyes. Izuku stopped and hung his head sheepishly, stepping back. The usual, shy and unintentionally, terrifyingly intimidating persona was back, but the memories from before were still fresh in his mind. And the cuts on his sides and ache in his ass wasn't helping.

The whole thing was messed up. Katsuk didn't even remember coming out here in the middle of the night, like Izuku claimed he did, and he sure as fuck didn't understand what was happening to his body. It had felt all hot and tingly, burning from the inside out. His entire skeleton had felt like it doubled in weight and only Izuku could make him feel like he was floating.

He had woken up in the cave, no pants on and a cloud hanging over his brain. Then he got fucked within an inch of his life by a side of Izuku he didn't recognise. And when he woke up again Izuku had pulled a complete 180 on him and was acting sheepishly again. And then, to top it all off, he got told he went through a heat, like a fucking dog, that was fueled by Izuku's rut and that stupid connection that kept making Izuku pop up in his dreams.

He couldn't even go home because his parents would—

"Fuck!" Katsuki yelled, punching the furs over his lap. Izuku's eyes jumped back to him, ears flicking attentively.

His parents had come back and seen him in the middle of this mess. If he goes back now they'll interrogate every little bit out of him then have Izuku's head on a stick.
