I was surprised, partly because that was probably the first genuine compliment that I have received by some one who wasn't my aunt, but mostly because it caused me to stutter. I never stutter... in public... around most people- actually never mind I stutter a lot, I rarely talk to people so I have a hard time with clearly expressing my thoughts. He nodded, smiling slightly "It's no problem really-" his thoughts were cut short when his phone started ringing. It wasn't anything special, just a small flip phone, it had a sun charm on it. I thought it was so cool he had a phone even if was something so simple.
"Oh it's my dad, one sec." he excused himself and stepped outside. This left me and Amajiki-San in some what uncomfortable silence. "....S-so... um..." I looked around the room to find anything I could use to strike up a conversation. Eventually my eyes locked on to my writing journal. "do you like music?" he nodded shyly "Y-yeah, kinda. Why?" I shrugged "I write music so I was just wondering" I said as I sat in Togata-San's old spot, the floor was getting pretty ✨uncomfy✨. It was a big bean bag but we still managed to be touching. When I looked over to him, I saw he turned a slightly red "Are you ok Amajiki-San? You're a bit red..." he vigorously shook his head yes, startling me slightly.
"I-i'm fine, i-it's just a bit toasty in here!" he said with a nervous chuckle as he took off his sweater. I found this kind of weird since I had the AC up pretty high, but he was wearing a sweater so I guess it's understandable. I laid back and closed my eyes, even though I had just finished an entire monster energy drink I was feeling pretty tired. Social interactions can be tiring. I heard the door open, it was Togata-San. "Hey Tamaki, I have to go back. Are you ok here?"

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~"Hey Tamaki, I have to go back. Are you ok staying here?" No, No I was not ok staying here. I wanted to go home, I was tired and (y/n) was pretty much a stranger. I didn't want to be left alone with her, also staying for too long might be seen as rude and I don't want to leave that kind of impression on someone who could possibly be nice. "Y-yeah, i'm good.. you can head back." Why, why did I say this? I don't know. I still don't know why I said that. Neither did Mirio, he was equally if not more confused then I was.
"Ok?... Um, i'm leaving now- are sure you don't want to come with?" the way he asked sounded like he knew I was being held against my own will... by my own brain? But at least I can leave now, thank god he asked that second time, I have my ticket out of here now all I have to say is I need to go as well- "No.. I'm good, I'm pretty sure I can make it back on my own." why? Why do I do this to myself? there is no need. None at all. He was very visibly taken aback, but none the less backed out slowly. "Hey, can I take these with me?" he asked gesturing to the pair of rain boots (y/n) gave him "Yeah, go ahead. I already have a pair anyways." he nodded and slipped on the boots. He shot me one last glance before he ran down the stairs.
(y/n) just smiled slightly as she leaned back and closed her eyes for the second time. 'Is she going to take a nap?' I thought as I watched her. After I poked her a few times I concluded that she was indeed taking a nap. I personally was also pretty tired so I thought taking a nap would be the best thing for that moment, especially since I wasn't really sure what else to do. I wish I could say that staying back was an accident, but I knew exactly what I was doing. Not why I was doing it though, no i'm still waiting for an answer to that.
