Chapter 26: Camp.

The members decided to clear their heads out and go somewhere together. Hoseok suggested spending the night in the forest like they did when they were younger.

The members were chatting and having fun. Camp fire was clenching and you could hear the water sounds coming from the nearby lake.

Jungkook: Wait up, guys. Where's Taehyung?

As soon as Jungkook pointed out that they're missing Taehyung, everyone started looking around. Hoseok had noticed a figure sitting by the river, and that was Taehyung. Jimin realized that something was wrong. Taehyung is usually cheerful. Now that they have learned the truth, Jimin knew why Taehyung was sitting there alone. He didn't need to think twice as he came up to Taehyung.

Jimin: Hey.

Taehyung: ! Jimin.

Jimin: Listen, I know how hard it is for you... Knowing you since high school and all..

Taehyung: I just... need to clear my head.

Jimin: What about your dreams and visions?

Taehyung: I'm... still trying to figure out the message they were sending.

Taehyung lowered his head and looked at his hands and saw them covered in blood. But it was only an illusion caused by his memories and slight paranoya.

Jimin has noticed that the younger kept starring at his hands while shaking in fear and seemed like he was just about to freak out.

Jimin: Hey, Taehyung!

Jimin started to shake him up just a bit to make Taehyung snap out of whatever was going on in his head and bring him back to reality. He looked the younger in the eyes while his hands were on his shoulders.

Jimin: You alright...?

Taehyung: I am... God-! Jimin, I-- I can't-- I can't forgive myself...! I-! *voice breaks* I killed my dad-! I--

Jimin: Hey, hey... Shh... Taehyung... You didn't do it on purpose. I know you didn't. It was only an accident.

Taehyung: My dad... was always abusing me and my sister, and... I was always hiding in my room, sitting there like a coward I am while hearing him screaming and beating up my sister..!! I was so scared of him that I couldn't get out of my damn room and save my only sister!!!! Today I just... lost control.... I couldn't watch it any longer, and... I just grabbed a bottle, hit him, and--

Jimin: Taehyung... *hugs him*

Taehyung: I can't believe I really did that...!!!

Jimin: Now let me tell you what I can't forgive myself for. I hate myself or trying to kill myself and even thinking of that in the first place. It was so hard for me to accept hyung's death, that all I wanted is to end my suffering by trying to drown myself on purpose that now I can't control myself anymore and just keep drowning! I was selfish and thinking only about myself, and all I came up with was-- that decision. You don't even imagine how scared I am to be here right now. I know that any moment I can just get in the water and then not get out since someone would be dragging me down and I would not be able to do anything since the more I resist, the more I drown! I hate myself for that! I hate the fact that I had those thoughts in the first place! I hate that!

As he was explaining, couple of tears slid down his cheeks.

Taehyung: Jimin, I'm-- I'm so sorry...! I should've been there for you!

Jimin: We all should've, but we decided to split. That's why we're now here all together. Let's go!

With that, Jimin grabbed Taehyung's hand and dragged him to the others, smile finally forming on the younger's face.

The next morning, to everyone's surprise, it was Yoongi who woke everyone up. He was opening every single tent, while the members were still sleeping.

Yoongi: GUYS! WAKE UP!! JUNGKOOK-- HE-!

Namjoon: Hyung...? What's wrong...?

Namjoon said while still rubbing his sleepy eyes.

Yoongi: JUNGKOOK IS MISSING!
