Ren thanked Vern once again for helping him

"Come straight here tomorrow" Vern ordered

Ren was glad to have Vern teach him. The way he taught and made notes was so easy to understand. He only gave Ren the minimum to be able to pass.

'I can actually remember it more... Is this the effect of increasing mana?'

-Yes. The servants in this world tend to have less difficult tasks then nobles due to lack of mana.

'This might be possible!' *sobs*

"Hey system...why can't you make me op either?"

'TvT me and my big mouth' he sighed

Ren couldn't believe Alex was here and was sticking to Shin. He was very irritated about that. After all his efforts to break them.

'How hasn't Shin cursed at her yet??'

'or does he really hate this Ren for some reason?'

He sighed again

"Where were you earlier that you neglected your duties?" Shin asked while Ren was opening the door to the carriage

Aria went home with her study group so they were alone inside

"I'm sorry Master Shin, the teacher called me because of finals..."

"No one ever said you needed to pass"
He replied a bit coldly
Probably because of having to put up with Alex the whole day

"I know... but I just have to"

"Then why?"

"Ah right, Master Shin, where are you planning to study for finals?"

'no answer huh?' Shin thought

"Library" Shin answered obviously in a bad mood

"Ah, I see"

'maybe I can still make that library date happen'

"I promise I won't forget again. I'll go do my duties during breaks. Again, I'm sorry"

'maybe I was too harsh, it was Alex's fault, not his' Shin thought

"Good luck with your studies" Shin said in a quiet voice

But Ren heard it and was a bit surprised

"You too Master Shin!" He was now in a good mood

Dinner was normal as always, and Ren decided to review what he learned at night

When the three arrived at school, it was still a bit early.

Aria said goodbye to go to her study group

Shin was also relieved that Alex hasn't arrived yet and decide to go to the library.

For 2 weeks, everyone will mostly be self studying and only ask for the teacher when they encounter problems.

Ren thought to himself, 'okay, this is great. Sherry Birnette should have arrived as well'

After a while, Shin could not take it and turned to face Ren who seemed distracted

"...why are you following me?"
