It's officially the New Year!!! And with New Years comes Resolutions.
Every year people make resolutions, keeps them for a few weeks (if that), then forgets about them.
Quick question..... Then Why Make them??
What's the point of making a new years Resolution if your not gonna keep it? Its not that hard! For example, so every year my mom makes the resolution to stop drinking coffee. She throws all the coffee out the house, gives the coffeemaker away or something, and gives my Nana all our creamer. Now, understand this. I AM A MAJOR COFFEE ADDICT!!!
I love coffee. It makes my world go round and easier to deal with humans. You know how girls say that seeing their boyfriends makes their day.... Well coffee is my boyfriend. Okay, not my actual boyfriend, his name is Mr. Sexy... But that's not the point! Coffee's my drug to happiness is the point.
So yeah, back to the topic. She gets rid of all the coffee stuff and tells me I can't drink it in the house. She goes so far as to stop letting me go to Starbucks! So after about a week or two I catch her with a cup of nice coffee. All warm, sugared, and the right amount of creamer.. I just wanna yell at her!! So instead of yelling I just ever so nicely ask
"Whatcha got there mom?"
And she replies
"Just.... Some coffee.. Grandma brought back the coffee maker and asked me to make her some, but then there was a whole pot left so I thought.. Don't waste it... Want some..?"
I still don't yell. I just glare at her for about three minutes before the aroma of heaven in a cup gets to me and I find myself drooling over the pot.
So yeah, if you ever have the notion to ban coffee from your home as your New Years Resolution----- Think of others! Because in my eyes... It's just rude and selfish to do that to someone. It's the most important meal of the day for peanut butters sakes!
