Hello my lovelies! Yes, it's been almost a month once again. I apologize. Graduation is literally three months away and my efforts to build a time machine are not fairing well. Other factors are contributing to my inattention to my beloved wattpad, but I will not burden you with them all. I do thank you all for your continued support and do hope that you enjoy this latest chapter! I also promise that I am going to finish this book. It is already written out, and waiting to be posted. There is just the revising to do and the quotes to find and all that pretty jazz.

“I am not afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep; I am afraid of an army of sheep led by a lion.” – Alexander the Great
Chapter Seventeen
Jacky’s P.o.V.
I pant as I throw my galleon at the door, skidding through it as it turns translucent. It thickens immediately behind me and I wave my wand over myself to get rid of the disillusionment charm.
Whew! That was a close one! The Carrows had chased me for nearly four floors there.
I crawl to the nearest wall and lean against it, regaining my breath. It’s been but a week since the phoenix flame in the Great Hall incident, and the D.A. hasn’t been able to meet. We couldn’t figure a safe way to get them all here. No one had free reign of the hallways any more except for the Slytherins.
Besides that, I had kept up a steady stream of pranks upon the castle. Jinxes in the death eaters’ showers, surprises mixed in with their food, writings all over their classrooms, and, my personal pride, a giant bat following Snape around for an entire day as he was unable to vanish it.
Whispers were spreading rapidly around the school. The ghost of Dumbledore? Or maybe it was a representative chosen by all those killed by death eaters who were hungry for revenge.
“Not to rush you or anything, but your little army needs to organize itself now, little cub. Preparations for this war must start. Plus, it’s only a matter of time before punishment is given to those students who do no wrong.” I look down the hall to see Godric giving me his “serious” look. I smile wearily at him.
“Yes sir, I just need to figure out a safe way to get them all here and back.” I tell him. He narrows his eyes and looks around before giving me a reproachful look.
“Exactly how have you been getting around this castle all week?” I blink at him a few times before blushing and giving him a sheepish grin.
“Right, why didn’t I think of that?” I scold myself as I stand up and brush myself off. Time to get started. It was Friday afternoon and since a ban had been placed forbidding everyone from leaving their common rooms at night, all the houses would be in. Gryffindor first to get the message out.
Gryffindor Tower please I ask the wall that usually responds to my requests. It takes mere seconds before a rich, brown wood appears before me. I open it to find a set of sandstone stairs. I puff my way to the top while seriously considering working out more. I was way out of shape!
I look up to find another door has appeared in front of me. I hear talking on the other side and hesitate only a second before squeezing it open. Silence follows the creaking noise it makes before rapid movement and then Neville’s voice is ringing out. “Who’s there? Show yourselves!” He commands. I blink in shock, feeling the need to obey. Whoa! There’s that boost of confidence I knew was always there.
“At ease Commander.” I say as I strut through the door. Only the seventh year Gryffindors were present (and Ginny), wands at the ready. I grin, knowing this was only the beginning.
