The Island's Tsunami caused by Midas has finally fell, causing the island to flood. No Sweat Insurance covered most places while others were doomed to the depths beneath. Ocean watched from the Fortilla as that same flood began to slowly lower. As she prepared her boat for a day of exploration, her radio calls in a message broadcasting from The Authority, calling all remaining Ghost agents to surrender at once and that the fight was over. She knew she had to do something to keep the Ghost refugees out of danger. She started her boats motor and began making her way to Shadows's new headquarters.

"Sir you may want to look at this." Jules said as Chaos Agent walked up to the balcony and grabbing the binoculars.

"Interesting, Lower the main gate." He said in his deep menacing voice, only enhanced with his gas mask.

As Ocean pulled up and docked the boat, she grabbed her helmet and Shotgun and began her way into the fortress. The place was silent as if no one was home. All of a sudden Ocean felt a presence of some entity in her area. It was him. Chaos walked down the stairs and stood firm as they shared a moment of silence. Even though Ocean knew he was the leader of Shadow however she wasn't intimidated and she was quite fond of his accomplishments. After all the things he's done, good or bad, he was the one who discovered cloning technology.

"You must be Ocean, please allow me to intr-.." She cut him off before he could finish.

"I know who you are. Call off the signal." She pointed the gun at him. He did nothing but chuckled.

"You wouldn't shoot me, you admire me." He said. She immediately felt a sense of embarrassment. Why would anyone even want to be near someone like him? She put the gun down.

"That's better. If you wanted me to turn it off you could've asked politely." He said as he nodded his head, signaling Jules to turn off the message.

Ocean stood still thinking of what to say. Even though she was Ghost, she always had a feeling down in her of curiosity and interest in him. Chaos walked up to her, towering over her. He looked her up and down. He admired her spunk and the courage that he's only ever seen in few before. She looked up at him with her brown eyes that told Chaos everything he needed to know. She liked him and he liked her. He turned around silently and began walking away.

"What's it like? Being what you are?" She asked, causing him to stop in his place and turn his head.

"To be Shadow? Or something more?" He responded and she walked up behind him and felt his chamber on his back. The canister was warm and felt alive. She was invested in finding out more about him.

"To be made of that." She touched a little spec of ooze that flew out of the grate. It caused him to flinch. No one has been this close to him alive or willingly. Even though he was uncomfortable, he felt something in himself for the first time. He completely turned around and looked down at her. He held out his hand. She looked at it and took it towards her, removing his three fingered glove. His hands were completely made of the goopy ooze substance. Ocean grabbed at it and moved it around, she was so amazed and hypnotized that she was like a cat with a laser pointer. Chaos felt deep within him a spark. A spark of affection. He never let anyone see him without his suit or mask on, he seemed very cocky and arrogant but deep within him he was lost and alone. She gave him what he needed. Love.

"I've been like this my whole life. Sometimes I wish I wasn't. I'm a freak of nature." He sighed as Ocean put his glove back on.

"I think you're incredible." She said quietly to herself hoping he wouldn't hear it. She had feelings for ooze in a suit. How would that work? She looked at his hand again and put hers into it. They looked at each other.

"I think you are too." He said as he gripped her and began reaching for the tubes behind his head, detaching them.

Ocean reached for his helmet and removed it to reveal his head. He didn't want her to see how horrible he looked and wanted to stop her but he didn't. She didn't even flinch. Ocean smiled at him and pulled him down for a hug. She tightly grabbed his neck causing him to fall down to her level. He was stunned that she would do something like that to him. He put his arms around her waist and returned the hug. Ocean couldn't see any emotions on him but she knew that he was crying tears of joy and relief on the inside.

"Thank you" Chaos whispered into her ear and he stood back up and patted his suit, cleaning the dust off. "Y-you should leave now, it's getting late."

He began to turn around as she pulled on his arm causing him to stop.

"Can I stay here, for the night? I just want to get to know you so much more." Ocean asked as she was getting all her stuff together. She thought he was gonna say no so she got ready to leave.

"O-of course, I'll get your stuff upstairs right away." He responded without hesitation and grabbed her things from her arms. She planted a kiss on his goopy cheek and proceeded to put his mask back over his head.

"Thank you." Ocean smiled as she headed up the stairs. Chaos followed behind her, he finally felt something. His life finally had a true meaning, and it was her.

I really like these two. I got a lot of inspiration from my friends on this one. Hope you enjoyed :)
