It's nearly midnight and you're both still working on this piece of junk. The ATK sent in by Moniker refuses to start, even after several attempts. Sparkplug takes off her welding goggles and lets out a sigh. You sat on the chair next to her handing her the required tools. You never wanted to admit to her that they had a crush on her, fearing the feeling of rejection.
"Pass me a screwdriver." She asked holding out her hand. You grabbed the screwdriver off the desk and placed it into her hand. Their hands met, her hand was tough and beaten, but comforting and warm. She looks up at the tool and rolls her eyes. "The other one, (Y/N)."
"S-sorry, you know I'm not the best with tools." You replied.
"Right." She said sarcastically. "Ugh, this is unbelievable. We've been here all day and have made no progress. Should just tell him it ain't gonna work." She sat up and sighed.
"You're overworking yourself. Let's go take a break. How about we visit the Fishsticks? Heard that place has opened back up." You said putting their arm around spark plugs shoulder.
"I would like that." She perked up and smiled. That smile brought life to you. The two walked along the road up to Craggy Cliffs, which recently resurfaced from under the water. They walked into Fishsticks, ordered their food and took down to the end of the beach and sat on a bench in the sand. The view of the night sky amazed Sparkplug as she glanced up at the stars. You could keep your eyes off of her as her hair floated in the wind.
"It's so beautiful out here." She said as she looked back at you.
"So are you..." You reply causing her to blush and look to the side.
"Thanks, but can't stop thinking about our project. That ATK is never gonna run. I can't do it." She sighed as she took her hat off and rubbed her head.
"Nonsense, I know you can fix anything. I mean look at us, we're two peas in a pod, right?" You say as you push her hair away to let you see her sparkling eyes.
"Thanks..." she replied as she pulled you in for a hug. "You're thing that's ever happened to me. I don't even know where I'd be without your help." She let go of you and kissed you on the cheek. You felt that this is the time, so you let her know how you feel.
"Listen Sparkplug, i was wondering if we could do this more often. Just the two of us?"
"You mean go on dates?" She questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"Y-yeah something like that. What do you say?" You felt your heart sink as you couldn't help but feel the sense of anxiety take over waiting for her response. She rolled her eyes and pulled you into a deep passionate kiss that felt like it lasted a lifetime. She stopped ss you met each other's eyes
"I wouldn't ask for anything less."
