This is a not really a continuation of the first Midas x Tntina but it can take place a few months later, during the Midas' Revenge event.
Tina has been in hiding ever since Midas crumbled most of GHOST and SHADOW after his great plan, to destroy the loop and free the people. She hasn't been able to get a good night sleep since, thinking of where he could be now. Midas was presumed dead after the flood, as the only thing found was his golden chair, being held by his daughter in the Authority. Tina loved Jules like she was her mother, knowing that her real mother was one of Midas' first agents with current whereabouts unknown. She wanted to go and speak to the engineer and hopefully bring an end to the conflict and unite the two Agencies under one flag.
Tina snuck out of her small hideaway and took a boat down the river into the Island. The nighttime fog was thick and the air was cold, Tina couldn't stand the thought of her beloved being truly gone. Someone who had so much and held so much power, gone within an instant. She made it to the Authority, however it wasn't how she expected it to be. It was in complete ruins. The roof was completely chunked away and the windows were barricaded shut. She looked around and saw what seemed to be a fire in the distance across from the base, Tina decided to investigate.
It was Jules, sitting alone at a campfire, her head down in her arms and crying. Tina decided to approach her slowly trying not to startle her.
"J-Jules?" She asked. Jules perked up and stared at her. Her eyes red from crying for some time. She looked back down "What's wrong? What happened to the Agency?"
"I tried to bring him back. I failed everything." She barely could get the words out, choking up in her tears. "He's there, but he's also not."
"Jules, speak to me. I need to know what you're on about. Who's him?" Tina asked.
"He's there." She said. "It's not my father though, it just looks like him." Jules said looking back down. Tina widened her eyes and processed what she just said. Midas, alive?
Tina grabbed her bow and took off back onto her boat, leaving Jules to the fire. She floats over to the island. The dirt was dark, like it was blasted by some hot force. The trees were lifeless husks with branches flowing in the wind. When she took her first step onto the island, an overwhelming sense of anguish and terror filled her, like she wasn't alone. Suddenly a voice filled her head.
"Tina?" The rough voice echoed with what seemed no end.
She fully got onto land and walked through the building. The walls crumbling in and the sound of mice rummaging around didn't help lighten the tone. She made it up the stair towards the top floor when she saw a sight that bewildered her. It was the golden chair, Midas' "throne", suspended mid air surrounded by candles. She felt like she stepped straight into a cult. She stumbled back when she hit something and zipped around, drawing her bow. The face of surprise became a face of shock as she saw the man standing there.
It was Midas, except he wasn't himself. The golden touch now emits a purple haze with a dark smoke covering his body. His hair turned silver with his scar glowing a bright pink. He even seemed to have both of his eyes, sometimes Tntina would frequently ask about him.
"You came back." He said, his voice like he was in a deep cave, calling for help. "It hasn't been the same without you, Tina. I've missed you so much."
"What the hell happened to you?" Tina asked as tears began to form. "You're dead."
"I guess I was, but now I have the power to change that fate. Our fate." He pronounced. He turned towards his daughter down off the river by the fire.
"She doesn't deserve this, but I was left with no choice. My shadows have overrun these ruins. The best thing I could do is send her away." He looked down. "She knew the risks of bringing me back and still did so. Now as payment, the darkness will consume the island."
Tina walked up behind him and hugged him. "I want to help you, if you'll let me."
He touched her hand. When he had his golden touch, he could control it flawlessly, but the shadow is much harder and filled with anger. The amount of strength it took to even hold her hand was unbearable, but he managed.
"I wanted to fix this, but I just wanted her to know that I care." He fell to his knees out of exhaustion. "I could've stopped this all from the beginning but we killed all of her henchmen, took the island by force, and cast her out. She must think I'm a monster, which I am." He began to cry. Midas has never cried in his life, not even when he heard he had a daughter.
"What do I need to do" Tina asked pulling Midas up from under his shoulders. "Nothing. I can close this nightmare and restore peace, in return for my soul." He said. He would have to sacrifice himself to stop the Shadows reign over the people on the island.
" I can't let you do that. After all Jules went through to bring you back, and you will just throw it away." Tina told the Ghost. "She needs you. I need you. Nothing has been the same without you. We have no family."
" Tina, you always did. Jules..." he pauses, turning to Tntina. "Jules is our daughter."
Tina couldn't understand. "How is that even possible? I would've remembered having a kid."
"That's the the thing with the loop, sometimes you forget." Midas walked up to her and handed her a piece of paper and kissed her. His cold lips met with hers and for a brief second, he felt life again.
Tina was in complete shock, but it made sense. Midas had never seen anyone before her, let alone had time for someone. She wrapped her arms around him, pulling him in.
"Why tell me now?" She whispered. "Why wait?"
"Because I couldn't jeopardize I.O. knowing my plan, but it clearly was in vain. I'm so sorry." He pulled away, and grabbed her shoulders. "Tell her about you. She deserves it."
Midas guided Tina down the stairs towards the exit of the ruined agency. Tina at this point was in complete tears.
"Please, there has to be another way." She cried.
"I can be set free, but my final request is that you tend to her. Know that I love you. Both of you." He began to fade into a mist.
"Midas! Please!" She cried more trying to pull him back.
"Forgive me." His voice returns to the ruins, his tomb.
Tina barely holding herself together gets to her boat and heads back to Jules. She sits on the shore for over an hour without heading towards her daughter. Midas' voice still playing in her head. She built up the courage to see Jules.
"Hey kid." Tina says sitting next to her.
"Get lost, Tntina." Jules angrily said.
"I need to tell you something. Your father wanted you to know." Tina explained what happened and told her about their relationship. Jules was reluctant at first, much like her mother, but came to her senses. This conversation lead to a night of catching up and stories about their lives. Tina never felt happier than she did now. Not only rekindling her love with her daughter, but seeing her long lost love one final time before he faded into darkness. Eventually Jules pointed out the paper in Tinas' pocket. It was the paper Midas gave her and decided to take a look at it.
It was a photo. A family portrait of Midas and Tina with an infant Jules. With a note on the bottom. 'Find Wrath."
Sorry this sook so long to make. Hopefully I can make a good comeback here. Thanks for being patient!
