Anne invited her bosom friend Diana, over.
They did this frequently, the normal routine was too seat down on the couch, turn on the TV, have some snacks, and talk about their lives.
Right now they were watching a movie, a love movie in fact, and Anne couldn't help but remember about what had happened yesterday.
"Anne, I need to tell you something", said Diana interrupting Anne's thoughts.
"Now promise me that no matter what you will keep on going with your life", continued Diana, "because you are amazing and beautiful, and-
"What is it Diana?", asked Anne confused.
"You promise?"
"Yes..?"
Diana took a deep breathe, "Gilbert is back from Toronto."
"Oh yes I know...", responded Anne flatly.
"Wait? What?", Diana was surprised, "How do you know?"
"I ran into him at the park...", said Anne.
"Oh... and what did he say?"
"Well you know, that he finished his studies, and then he asked me how I was, and after that he just left... And I tried to apologize to him..."
"How did that go?", said Diana feeling sorry for her friend.
"Not well, he just nodded and left, I know what I did hurt him but I don't know... I thought he was over it, apparently not"
"Anne I am so sorry, are you ok?", asked Diana worriedly.
"Yea I'm fine"
And with that they continued watching the movie in silence.

Later that day, Anne went to the library, her favorite place in the world.
She was looking for the book that always relaxed her, Jane Eyre.
When she found it she headed to her favorite corner in the library, but when she got there someone was in her spot...Gilbert.
"Oh..."
"I am sorry, I am going to go...", started Gilbert.
"No it's ok, I'll go"
"No I was leaving anyway", and Gilbert started to go.
"Gilbert wait!"
Gilbert stoped and looked at her.
"Can we just talk about it?", started to say Anne.
"I don't know if I can..."
"Look it's hard for me too, but we are going to need to talk about it sooner or later", said Anne.
"It hard for you? You are the one who left me!"
"Don't blame this on me Gilbert, you knew the pressure I had!"
"Look I can't do this right now...", and with that Gilbert left.

Anne thought about what had happened more that what she should, she wondered what would have happened if she had done things differently...
