Einherjar

It was the summer of 1987 and I was visiting Penny's family(girlfriend's house) when a Norwegian Ridgeback was attacking some muggles on the beach that WE were swimming. One second, we were enjoying the vaction and the next, the Norwegian Ridgeback flys out of nowhere and kills 5 muggles, right there. Everyone there was shocked for a few seconds(Penny's parent, Penny, and I all saw the dragon beheading the muggles and Penny almost puked) before I slapped my face and went to where my wand was. "Sectumsempra!" I yelled while running to an area with few people. As if there were invisible swords, deep gashes appeared on the dragon's body. It got mad and flames came out of their mouth, narrowly missing me as I Forward Rolled to the right. Even though I didn't get hit directly by the flames, I could feel the blisters and burns on my right arm and shoulder due to the heat of the flames. "Expulso!" The dragon immediately flew backwards because of the spell and used this chance to yell "Petrificus Totalus!", binding the dragon. The Norwegian Ridgeback was unable to move a few seconds, so everyone's guard was down. Suddenly, the rope broke and the dragon was about to bite a innocent kid that was about 5 years old, so I ran as fast as I could and pushed him away. Unfortunately, even though the kid was out of harms way, I got bitten in the leg. A part of my flesh was teared and my vision was blurry. My whole body felt numb and I screamed. Penny saw the scene unfolding in front of her eyes and she got FURIOUS. "Confringo!" and the dragon was once again blown backwards. While it was confused, Penny immediately came to my side and helped me get up. Even though the pain was intolerable, my hand reached for the wand very slowly and by the time I got it, the Norwegian Ridgeback recovered from the shock and was about to kill us all, but I, using my last strength, mumbled "Diffindo." underneath my breath while my wand is pointing at the dragon's neck, decapitating them immediately after. Everyone around was shocked as they just saw a dragon decapitated before celebrating. I was about to celebrate with them when I passed out. The last thing that I saw before passing out was Penny's parents running over here and right before reaching us was when I passed out.....When I woke up, I was at St. Mungo's and when I turned my head to the left, resting beside my bed was Penny. I tried to sit up but the pain was intolerable and I almost screamed. I once again tried to move but failed so just forced myself to sit up. I moved to my right and used the chair beside to pull myself up. I then slowly(and painfully) went to where Penny was and placed a blanket on her before getting to the door, open it and left to find a healer. "Hey!" A healer turned around before gasping for some reason. "They're awake! They're awake!" she yelled before other healers stared at me in disbelieve. "What?" I asked, confused. Suddenly, 2 healers grabbed my arms and pulled me back to my room. There was commotion everywhere and when I got back, Penny was awake and running over here to help me. "Mc! Do you know how long you've been asleep!?" "No?" "It's been a month since you've been in a coma and everyone thought that your going to die!" She hugged me and cried on my shoulder. "Sorry to interupt but I have some bad news for you." Penny froze but slowly asked "What is it?" "Mc is going to die in a week." Penny's face was in shock before fainting. "Pen!" I yelled but no response. "WHAT HAPPENED!!!" I yelled. "She's fine. She fainted because of the shock but she will recover." After a few hours, she woke up and cried. I knew that she was scared that I'll die and besides, I can't hide the secret anymore because if I do, then I'll really die this time. "Pen....I have something to tell you..." "Yes?" ".....I'm a Einherjar." "What's a Einherjar?" She tilted her head to the right, looking confused. "In Norse mythology, the einherjar are those who have died in battle and are brought to Valhalla by valkyries." I began to explain what I was detail by detail and after I finished, she didn't say anything for a few minutes. "So...I'm basically dating a dead person?" she asked. ".....yes." I hesitantly responded. "That's awesome!" That's why, I have to go to the Valhalla and after I die there for the 1000th time, I'll be fine again. I apparated near the Valhalla and I went inside my room before using a knife to slit my throat before dying and falling onto my bed. I opened my eyes and checked the date, "It's tomorrow, huh." I thought to myself while getting up. After, I left the Valhalla(I greeted my friends yesterday) after saying goodbyes and apparated to where Penny was(scaring her in the process). "MC!!!" I ran while she chased me and after we both got tired, we laid on the ground and I told her stories of my adventures as a Einherjar(She was kind of angry at me for not telling her in the first place). She looked at me for a second before kissing me and well, let's just say that after that, we had fun. A month later, Penny, her parents, my parents, and I all got the Order of Merlin First Class and all of our friends(except for my Einherjar ones) celebrated with us. Even though I'm a wizard, I'm also a Einherjar and I'll always be around people who support me, especially Penny, whom I'll love for the rest of my life.
