I laid on my bed. I wasn't facing the door. If someone else were to come inside, I would not want to talk to them right now. I heard a knock on the door. I didn't say anything.
The door opened anyways and I heard someone coming in. Whoever it was, they sat down next to me. I turned around even though I didn't want to. I saw my father sitting next to me.
"Loki told me everything", he said. I sighed. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"What was I supposed to say? That everywhere I go, it feels like I'm different from everyone else? That I spent my whole life, not knowing about love because my so called parents used me for riches? That I'm trying to escape my past, but I can't because the people on earth are no different from the people here?" I asked. "I don't know who I am. I never did".
"You should've told me, Lilly. I could've helped you. Look, you can't change your past, but you can make your own future", Thor said.
"If something happened in your past, something you'd want to forget, but you can't, what would you do?" I asked.
"The past is the past. Even if I want to forget it, I can't. I'd remind myself that the past is what makes me who I am today", Thor said.
"I'm really sorry", I said as I started crying.
"It's alright", he said. I sat up. I wrapped my arms around him and cried. "I love you, Lilly".
"I love you too, Dad", I said.
