The air was crisp as I stepped out onto dried leaves beneath me, crunching with every step I took towards the haunted attraction. The sun had almost set, making the sky a deep purple as it slowly became dark out. Carved pumpkins had been place all around the entrance, with different spooky faces, all glowing and looking at me. I shivered. Why didn't you bring a sweater? They told me, and I glared at them. I hugged myself to keep warm, sighing.

"There's my girlfriend!" a raspy voice said behind me, right into my ear. Suddenly two hands wrapped around my waist and I shrieked, turning around abruptly.  I was met with two deep green eyes, and a head full of brown curls.

"Harry!" I sighed relieved, returning his embrace. His arms were much bigger than I had thought they were, as he towered over me. His grasp was tight and heavy around me, suddenly I was overwhelmed with the scent of  Vanilla. "Don't scare me like that!" I laughed,  as he spun us both around. He grabbed my hand as I pull away, his gaze on me.

"Can I not greet my girlfriend? After I bought you an entire museum? I'm sure you owe me, something. " He smirks at me, tilting his head toward mine. He's taunting me, and I don't mind playing this game.

"Well of course, just wish you'd buy me more than just some lousy building," I reply dramatically, rolling my eyes. He's still holding me close to him, and I keep myself there. He keeps us both warm and he makes me feel safe.

"Oh, you're intimidating," Harry says, pointing at me before his hands travels to my sides, and I burst into laughter as he starts to tickle me. "Don't give me attitude!" He warns, as I beg for him to let me go.

"She said to let go." A hoarse voice says behind us and it makes me turn. I squint my eyes into the darkness, cursing at myself for forgetting my glasses at home.

"Oh we were just playing," Harry says, shaking his head in confusion. "Why? do you mind? Are you jealous actually?"  His voice seems stern, but hesitantly. I feel the tension around us, not breaking my hands off of his waist.

Niall steps out of the corner and nears the entrance, the girls following behind him.

"Whatever, I just wish you guys would just get a room." He mutters, glaring at me before walking swiftly past me.

"Um?" hello to you too I guess." I say in a small voice. My eyes watch as he makes it to the front, buying his ticket alone.

"Don't mind him." Harry is telling me now. "He's just been... thinking about something is all." He tries to reassure me with a smile on his face, but I can hear the annoyance in his voice.

Thinking about something? What has Niall got going on that I don't know about? My mind goes back to the last few days and realize I haven't  really spoken to him since I saw him at my job that one day. I was so distracted with my friends coming in from out of town, that I never checked on how he was doing. Certainly he wasn't upset at me being too busy for him, right? He wasn't that selfish.

"You look cold, here let me give you this." Harry whispered, slipping off his knitted cardigan and putting it over my shoulders. "Also, did I tell you how stunning you look tonight? I like how you did your hair in those curly tendrils." He perks up, tussling my hair. "Now we can be twins."

He linked arms with me and led to the entrance, pulling out his wallet and going ahead to pay for all of our tickets.

"You didn't have to, I was fine getting it." I replied, my eyes widening as he slipped his black amex card back into his wallet.

"Nonsense, it's the least I can do for welcoming me into your little bubble. Which here they come now."

The girls had just made it around the corner, the same one Niall had sped walked through to avoid me and Harrys awkward gazes, and they were taking their sweet time.
