Hailey’s pov ~

I woke up to my alarm which meant it was Wednesday. I growled as I slowly opened my eyes. Because of what happened last night I couldn’t quite fall asleep. First of all, the fact Jc kept me outside for a pretty long time.. And second, the fact what he did to me right before he left. I still couldn’t wrap my head around it, but that’s just Jc I guess. It did almost feel like a goodbye or something, not just a regular but that kind of goodbye when you won’t see each other for a really long time. I decided to let it go and get in the shower, after that I let my hair dry naturally and got dressed, so I changed in some black leggings with a light pink shirt on top. I applied some mascara and a little amount of foundation, brushed my hair and teeth and was ready to roll.

While I was eating my cereal, I received a message from Michelle saying she would be here in less than 5 minutes. I grabbed my jacket, put on my shoes and while waiting I realised I hadn’t talked to her since school.. Which is weird. The sound of her car came closer and she pulled up in my drive-way. I jumped in her car, “good morning sunshine.” She turned her head to face me with a not too happy look on her face, “what’s so good about it ?” I laughed, “never mind, just drive before we arrive too late.” She turned on the engine and drove away.

The whole car ride was just me explaining what had occurred last night while she did the same. To my surprise she didn’t bombarded me with questions about Brandon or why Jc behaved like that. But I guess you could say she was a little bit busy with her own drama. I never knew Kevin would actually do his best to explain his situation. I’ll do my best not to interfere with them, Michelle knows what she does and I trust her on that note. As we arrived at school, the big grey building made in hell screamed my name asking for my soul, succeeded to make me feel like crap in the first seconds I got there. I can say this for most of the students who go here I think.
Michelle and I were walking to our classroom when I got a text from Brandon.

From; Brandon

What about watching some movies at your place, after you’re done with school. If that’s fine by you of course.

I smiled to myself while I texted back.

To; Brandon

Sounds good to me, I’ll text you when I get home. ;)

I put my phone away and took a seat, having a feeling this is going to be just great.

At the moment I was in the library, searching for a stupid book we have to read for some stupid class. I was quite in a hurry because after this I could finally go home. “Do you need any help ?” A voice interrupted. I turned around to see it was Megan who spoke to me. “Hey, I didn’t knew you helped out in the library. That’s so not.. You.” The moment that sentence left my lips I realised how stupid that sounded. “I’m sorry I didn’t mea-“ She cut me off and smiled, “save it. Now were even.” I laughed as I thought back to the pool party. Speaking of which, “yeah, remember when you said we’d talk later.” I stopped and studied her reaction, “why not now ?” I cheekily grinned at her. She took a stepped backwards, looked at her left and right and signed me to follow her. I did as she led us to a table in the corner. She sat down and nodded to the chair on her left for me to sit, “Okay, I’m not going to tell you everything or else we’ll both get in trouble. After this I’m going to help you find your book and then we’re going to act like this conversation never happened. Understood ?” Well you sure can see how she and Jc are related. “I understand.” I somewhat responded a bit terrified. “Good.” She stated while sighing.
“Okay let’s just say Jc has had a history..” She looked me straight in the eyes before she continued, “with a lot of people. A not too good one I would say.” “Yeah, I pretty much noticed everybody hates him. Well.. Except for his friends of course.” I exclaimed nonchalantly. She frowned but continued her story. “You would guess there is a suitable reason for that right ?” I nodded. “Why do you think girls hate him ?” She asked. “Because he’s dangerous, well at least they say.” I answered rolling my eyes at the last part. “You don’t think so ?” She asked with a bit of a surprised tone. “Well, not really. I mean he’s really strong, sometimes threatening, demanding and harsh. But he can be sweet I guess.” I admitted while thinking about it at the same time. “Then let me ask you this, why are you still in his little game ?” She asked resting her chin on her hand. “I don’t really have a choice..” I said realising my own words as they came out of my mouth. She glanced over at the entrance of the library and began rising from her chair, “I suppose we should end it here.” I frowned raising an eyebrow before looking for the person the saw. There stood Jc with all his glory at the front desk. “What is he doing here ?” I asked turning to face Megan again. “I forgot I asked him to pick me up.. Okay tell me the title of your book and wait here.” I said it and she quickly began searching for it. After she found it she returned to me, told me to wait a bit longer till she reached Jc and so I did. I reminded myself that Brandon was waiting for me so I quickly walked to the desk, put the book in my backpack and walked past them. It was weird, even when I was in a hurry, Jc didn’t make eye contact nor made an comment. I thought about it for a while then shrugged it off, as I said, I was in a hurry anyways.
