Hey guys, sorry i haven't posted in a while with New Year's and Christmas and all haven't gotten around to continuing the story, but let me know what you think so far and any ideas. love to hear your thoughts :) :) :)

About four weeks of being on the road with my new group and Maggie, I had created a strong bond between everyone. Especially Daryl. Rick and I had formed a kind of father daughter bond and he took care of me almost the same way my own father did, and I appreciated that. Daryl and I went out on a search to find some sort of eatable food. We were running low on supplies and almost gotten killed twice. Daryl and I walked about twenty minutes to a corner store to find any canned goods or drinks even, ammunition would be awesome considering the more the merrier. We have a lot but enough is never enough for when it comes to survival. “We’ll check that car up ahead, it could have fuel and we could really use that.” Daryl said pointing towards an abandoned car. While Daryl searched for fuel I looked around for any more valuable equipment we possibly could use. I spotted a large can of tomatoes and immediately attempted to grab it. The car window was barely open and could I could just squeeze my whole arm through. I glanced quickly around the area to see if any danger was alert. Daryl to busy getting stuck into grabbing fuel so I continued to get the tomatoes. I hated tomatoes, but nowadays, you’d take anything you can get into your mouth that is eatable. After about two minutes of trying to get the food, I realized the door was open the whole time and said to myself, “Are you serious…” I smiled briefly then suddenly heard my stomach growl. “Man, I’m starving.” I said to myself again.
“Quick talking to yourself, you freak.” I heard Daryl say from behind the car. Suddenly an out of the bushes a walker emerged and locked onto my arm. I squirmed and screamed, “Daryl!” I said screaming for help. The walker was about to take a bite of my arm then Daryl ran from the back of the car and shot it in the head with an arrow. I dropped down to the ground then tried to re-catch my breath. “Thanks.” I sighed.  My heart was beating a million miles an hour and all I could think about was how I could have died right there and became one of those things. “I’ve never really come close to dying like that before.”
“I would’ve chopped your arm off, trust me. I wouldn’t let you die.” Daryl stated. I smiled then felt my heart race again, but not because of the walker.

Daryl and I finally reached the corner store. “Locked.” Daryl said trying to open the door. “That means some goods could be in there.” He said sounding hopeful. Daryl grabbed a dirty cloth then grabbed a handgun I was holding, “Any walkers around?” he asked. I quickly looked around the area then spotted a walker getting closer towards us. I grabbed Daryl’s crossbow then shot it from about ten metres away. Daryl stared at me then smirked, “Nice shot, rookie.” I laughed slightly at his lame attempt of an insult. After about fifteen minutes of searching for supplies we found nothing. The store was completely cleaned out for the looks of it and both Daryl and I were confused. Why lock up a store when you have nothing in the store? I searched around for a possible hidden doorway even though in my mind that was bit crazy. All of a sudden apart of the wooden floor caved in when I stood on it. “Shit!” I yelped. I stood up then found a staircase that led down to a room full of food and drink supplies. “Daryl, look at this.” I yelled.

“It’s a bit dark down here.” He said.

“Aw, is Daryl Dixon afraid of the dark?” I giggled. He looked at me full of seriousness.

“Funny.” Daryl was a tough egg to crack, a nice guy but sometimes needed to lighten up a bit, he and I formed a real strong friendship ever since we basically first met each other, I felt as if he was a real best friend in all of this mess. He was there for me when needed and, as was I for him. By grabbing a shopping cart we were able to collect more than about half of the room leaving everything else in case we need it or it could be someone else’s stash.

As we were walking back to the camp w spotted a large heard of walkers that appeared, we quickly hid ourselves. “Shit, hide.” Daryl said ducking next to a car. As I went to get near the car I tripped and rolled my ankle. “We’ll bandage it up when we get back to camp.” Daryl said placing my ankle on his leg. Suddenly a walker emerged from behind him and grabbed his shoulder. He the walker’s head then shoved it onto the ground more than a few times. My eyes widened with a sudden sort of shock. “Well…” I said looking at his bloody face. He stared at me then checked for any walkers. “They’re gone now. It’s safe.” As I hopped to stand up Daryl grabbed the shopping cart and tried to find useful source for me to walk a lot more comfortably in. I walked around the car then was pushed by a walker against the car. Great, not again I thought. Three more walkers trapped me but then everything went black for a few seconds when I closed my eyes shut. I opened them to find them on the ground and Daryl pulling out an arrow from one’s head. “You have to be more careful! Do you not understand I ain’t gonna be there all the time to save your ass!” He yelled. “Don’t yell at me! This isn’t my fault, I rolled my ankle, and besides what do you care? It’s your life that is worth more than mine!” I yelled back. He dropped his crossbow then stood in front of my face. “My life is worth nothing compared to you. You are young, you are capable of more things than I am in this world, and you don’t get to say that sorta stuff. You are my responsibility and I will guide you like you are my –” He paused then went back and grabbed his crossbow then stormed back towards me and kissed me passionately locking his hands of my cheeks. “Daryl,” He continued to walk the direction of the camp then screamed out to me, “You comin’ or not?” I stood there still, still trying to process what just happened then allowed my feet to follow Daryl back to camp.
