The Dimensional Quest Part II: Galactic Peril

Chapter 16

The limousine's window rolls up, and the vehicle vanishes down the street.

"I know a ship that can fight these aliens. Follow me."

"I'm going to stay with our ship. Two ships are better than one," Daffy decides.

Spider-Man's head suddenly lifts up.

"Look out!" he shouts.

The superhero shoves Daffy aside just before a flower pot shatters onto the sidewalk.

"You okay?" Spider-Man asks.

Daffy nods.

"A lousy assasination attempt, if it was one."

A dandelion sits on top of a pile of soil and green clay shards.

"Sorry!" apologizes a man waving from a balcony a few stories up.

"What are you doing?!" Kitty roars.

The man shrugs.

"Mischief. It's kinda my thing," he snickers.

Stuck to his left cheek is a bandaid, and a Ducktail haircut rests on his head.

His body is wrapped in a coal black suit, with a navy blue tie drooping down his chest.

"Watch it pal, or your 'mischief' will have you tied in a web!" Spider-Man warns.

The man all of a sudden cackles like a classic Disney villain.

"My name's Mayhem, by the way."

"Nice to meet you, Mayhem. Unfortunately I don't have time for a talk."

Silk launches from the Spider-Man's web-shooters, then traps Mayhem.

"For now, you're staying here."

"Cool!" Daffy exclaims.

"Alright, everyone hold onto me."

"Huh?"

"Trust me, it's the fastest way around town."

IF and Compa hesitantly grab onto Spider-Man's shoulders, then look at the others.

"You coming?"

"Thanks, but I got rocket boots," Kitty tells her.

"Gears and I are gonna stay," Uni says.

"Alright then! Hang on!"

Spider-Man sends out a strand of silk that sticks onto the side of a building.

He then jumps up and swings into the air.

"Even cooler!" Daffy remarks, before returning to the ship..

"WOHOHOA!"

IF peers down at the little cars and people on Fifth Avenue.

Kitty's boots dump a big wad of fire, sending her rocketing after them.

The engines of the Atsafarian ship ignite, and it loses touch with the ground.

Daffy guides the ship past New York's skyscrapers and then up through the clouds.

"Nice space ship. I'm a bit of a sci-fi guy myself."

Daffy spins around to see Mayhem in the chair beside him.

"Huh. First you try to kill me and now you're stalking me."

"Oh I wasn't trying to kill you. I'm sorry for making you think that. I actually planned on hitting a car, but missed horribly."
