The Dimensional Quest Part II: Galactic Peril

Chapter 11

Kelsey breaks up the chase, holding Kitty back from Daffy.

"Alright, that's enough you two! We can't waste time chasing each other!"

"Yeah! Besides, you're a cartoon character. Your face will be back to normal in the next scene," Daffy mentions.

Kitty grumbles.

On the other side of the viewscreen is a marble covered in swirly clouds.

The uncovered areas have splodges of green or deep blue ocean.

"Is that Earth?" Chloe wonders.

"Sure looks like it. Let's find out," Emily says.

"So Earth is your homeworld?" Neptune asks.

"Yup! And you'll get to see it for yourself!" April tells her.

Daffy lands the ship on the ground, and the exit hatch opens.

The group steps out, and is intrigued by what they see.

Around them stand tall, bulky trees, as well as boulders coated with moss.

The ground is muddy and littered with sticks.

"I think we're in Oregon," Daffy says.

A small bug flies by his face.

"Ducky!"

Daffy twists around to see Peashy, pointing a little finger at him.

He picks her up, then shows her to Neptune.

"How many cents do I get for returning this kid?"

"Peashy! There you are!"

Neptune holds the little girl tight.

"What are you doing here? You were supposed to stay home."

"I would've missed you too much."

"Oh, Pea. Stay close to me now, alright?" Neptune instructs.

Peashy scooches as close as she can to her.

"Let's look for people to evacuate," Emily suggests.

"Evacuate?" Daffy questions.

"Us and our small ship don't stand a chance against the alien fleet," IF says, with a bit of disappointment.

"Bullcrap! I destroyed their ships easily in my jet form!" Netpune reminds her.

"Well, I would never suggest anything that would put you in danger," IF responds.

"Nah I'll be fine! Lemme at 'em!"

"If you insist. We should still-OW!"

IF is poked in the leg with a stick.

A furry bear-like creature, only a couple of feet tall, sits next to her.

"Definitely not Earth," Daffy says.

IF rubs where her leg was poked.

"Coulda just said hello," she snarls.

"Kush are kush?" the creature mutters.

"What?"

"Kush are kush?"

IF and Neptune look at each other.

"English, little creature, do you speak it?" Daffy asks.

He is poked in the leg.

"Yeow!"

Emily approaches the creature, reaching out a hand.

"I Emily. We come peacefully. Mean no harm. Trying to save you from bad guys."

Kitty scoffs.

"Just ask them if they want to die or not."

Emily points to their spaceship.

"We take you to safety."

The creature stares at her.

"Welp, I tried," Emily sighs.

A bunch of other creatures show up, and the first one turns around to talk to them.

"Chaa thek ota."

Suddenly, Atsafarian warships pop into view above them.

An instant later, ground troops appear in front of the group.

"Look out!"

Emily gets in front of a creature and takes a shot in the chest.

Peashy runs off to her fallen body.

"PEASHY NO!" Neptune shouts, now in her Purple Heart form.

She uses her sword to deflect the bullets away from the group, but ends up sending one into a tree.

The tree's upper half snaps off.

April sprints over to catch it.

Peashy looks up, seeing the falling tree, then pushes Emily's body out of harm's way.

Emily's body trips April, sending her into the mud.

Peashy lowers her head, bracing for impact as the tree crashes onto her.

"NOO!"

Purple Heart charges at the Atsafarian army, slicing through them as if they are fruit.

She lets out a loud, long cry of boiling rage as she does.

This allows the rest of the group and the creatures to make it to the ship.

April pushes the tree off of Peashy, then carries her's and Emily's bodies aboard.

After the last soldier is slain, Purple Heart looks down at her dead enemies.

"Nep! We have to go!" IF yells.

"I'm not done yet," Purple Heart growls, glaring at the ships above.

She is about to become a jet, but one of the ships fires a laser.

The impact sends Purple Heart flying in a cloud of dirt.

She lands headfirst onto the ground, immediately losing consciousness.
