Welcome back The Puppet Monsters everyone I hope that you enjoy the chapter. Please remember to VOTE and COMMENT it means a lot to me. Also if you enjoy this book them please give Lap of the Gods a try it would mean a lot to me. Truthfully I've been kind of battling with myself if I want to keep updating this book the way it is or give it the Lap of the Gods treatment and just reboot/remake it to fix things while combining this book with the Toymakers vol 1. Honestly, I don't know anymore, so while this book in its current state isn't the most fun for me to write which some of you can kind of tell, I still love it and want to do my best to give you guys what you want. With that said I have gone back and heavily edited chapter 9 so  reread that for a bunch of new content before moving to this chapter. Anyway I love you guys, and I'm sorry I've taken so long~ XOXO BUTTERBALL~

-Taiga-

"Oh don't look at me like that you rabid dog," Millia grumbled as she took a drag off of her cigarette. She glared at me giving Corina's gaze an almost hollow look.

"Get out of my mistress," I snarled, taking a step forward. I glared down at her as I wracked my brain trying to figure out how this was happening.

Opal was hissing at Corina, no Millia, his fur standing on end. His large body seemed to ripple as his claws dug into the countertop.

She sneered at me, the expression twisting Corina's face in a way I absolutely hated. "Or you'll do what? Stab me? No, you prefer more intimate methods like strangulation." Reaching up she patted my cheek. "Let's be honest you mongrel, you won't lay a finger on me. At least while I'm in this body you won't, you value this girl too much,"

She sighed, blowing cigarette smoke off to the side as a scowl spread across her face. "Can't for the life of me figure out why though, she's as helpless as a baby even with magic."

"How are you here? You should be long gone!" I snapped gritting my teeth.

She glanced back up at me before flicking the cigarette to the floor and putting it out. She came a bit closer, a small smirk on her face, "You're right, I should be gone. You killed me, even though I pleaded and begged," she said softly. "Getting rid of me again should be rather easy though, nothing would make me happy then to watch your face as the light leaves this girl's eyes."

"You wouldn't! Leave Corina out of this!" I snapped, my hands clenched into fist as I tried my damnedest to keep from doing something that I knew I would regret. I could feel my claws pierce through my gloves, a small sting ran over my palms, warmth welling up there as my claws dug into my skin.

Milia smirked letting out a small snort. "Look at you, you hate me so much that your form is slipping. Your hair is red and your eyes are amber, aren't you a sorry sight Mikleo."

Something within me seemed to snap and before I knew what I was doing I lunged toward her a growl tearing from my lips. The smirk dropped from her face in an instant and she screamed.

"Matthew! Help!" She screeched like a banshee.

I froze, stumbling back my eyes going wide, nearly panting as Matthew suddenly ran into the room. Matthew looked like hell, his clothes were streaked with blood, various rips and tears littered his clothes, his hair was tangled and he had what looked like claw marks raking across his chest.

"What's wrong Corina?" He asked in between panting breaths.

Instantly she ran to him practically hiding behind him as she stared at me, a look of fear on her face. "I don't know what's wrong, after we killed Bruce, Taiga started acting strange," she told him, just beneath the false fear coating her voice was a slight frantic edge.
