TWO THOUSAND YEARS AGO
>ANCIENT GREECE<SILAS looked down at the girl's figure he so gingerly held in his arms, a smile forming at the girl's lips. Very tenderly, he kissed the side of her head as she stared into his forest green eyes. She felt as though his eyes drank her in and consumed her soul. He felt as though he was complete. Rozalia was the one thing he had constantly been searching for, to fill the void in his heart. And when he was with her, his worries seemingly ceased.
With a mere hint of sadness in her voice, she spoke up. "I wish I could stay like this forever." Silas smiled down at her, it was practically the only thing he could do when he looked at her. "I hope you know that I love you with all of my heart." Silas replied. Ever so delicately, he traced his fingers through the brunette curls on her head.
"I know you love me, Silas. And I you. But yet you are to marry Alexandria... As much as I wish we could be together, we can no longer speak as long as you are with her." Rozalia buried her head into his chest, sighing heavily.
Silas rested his chin on her head, pulling her body closer to him. "My love, I promise you that I will sort this out."
"Yet that's the thing, Silas. You keep promising that you will find a way, yet to no avail."
"No matter how much I plead with them, my father fails to change his mind. I love you, and it always will be you. I just haven't quite found the way yet," He took her right hand in his, pleading as his eyes met hers once more. "Please don't give up, Rozalia. I'll make this right, I promise you."
She sighed deeply, a glaze forming over her eyes. The girl reached out and placed her left hand on top of his. "I'm sorry, Silas. I truly am. But I can no longer stand here waiting around, in the way of your marriage," Rozalia removed herself from his embrace, a tear rolling down her cheek. Rising to her feet, she turned away from Silas. The brunette began walking forward, not looking back.

ALEXANDRIA stormed into the room of her eldest sister, Katalina. Her cheeks were stained with tear tracks from witnessing the sight of Silas, the man she was to marry, with another woman. A brunette girl from the village, named Rozalia.
In her mind, Alexandria couldn't help but wonder...
What could the girl possibly have that she didn't?
Was she not pretty enough for him?
Alexandria hadn't known Silas for all that long, a little over six months perhaps, but to her, the god-like doppelgänger was the most gorgeous man she'd ever seen. And just like the many other ladies in waiting, she too couldn't help but fawn over him. The betrothed were introduced to one another at a dinner party hosted by their families, and there was an instant connection between them... Or at least Alexandria thought so.
In time, she went on to become dangerously infatuated with Silas, to the point that she'd convinced herself that she'd "fallen in love" with him. Being as this "love" was nothing more than an obsession, even after he turned her down, Alexandria never ceased to let Silas go. Alongside Katalina, she did everything in her power to ensure that she would be the one Silas would marry. And so when the two families announced that Silas and Alexandria were to marry each other, he had stormed off and begun to avoid her completely.
And to Alexandria, it made perfect sense why he had been avoiding her.
He didn't love her...
He loved the other girl.
And she knew all too well how to rid herself of the problem, (Rosalia), standing in her way.
"Dearest sister, what seems to be troubling you?" Katalina, concerned, stood up from her wooden desk, pushing the stool in before walking over to her sister. She could clearly see the tear tracks on the younger girl's cheeks.
"Nothing, Katalina. I'm alright," Alexandria sighed while walking in.
"Alexandria, I'm your sister. You can speak with me about anything. What's troubling you?" Katalina asked again, but this time, closing the door.
Sniffling, Alexandria sat on the small cot in the corner of the room, her knees to her chest. "Katalina," She looked over at her sister, with tears forming in her eyes. "I- I really loved him. That- That mere fool. He betrayed me."
"What?! What happened?" Katalina asked, her voice filled with a serious tone. She took a seat at the foot of the cot.
"I caught Silas with another woman." A stream of tears began flooding from her eyes.
Katalina scooted closer to Alexandria, wrapping her arms around her. "I'm so sorry, my dear sister. You don't deserve this."
"It's all her, I swear! I have yet to understand why he is so infatuated with that girl! Let me be frank, I am much much prettier. But he has the nerve to reject me!! I wish the girl would just disappear and be out of the way. With her gone, he'd realize that he loves me and we'd be happy with one another. I just wish there was a way to rid her." She wiped away her tears and rubbed her temples in frustration.
Katalina's mind continued to replay her sister's last words. 'I wish there was a way to rid her.' But then it came to her. There was a way, and she'd be able to do it.
"Would you happen to know her name?" Katalina grinned.
