1: "Malunkot lang talaga ako."
"Tangina," I mutterred under my breath. "Wala na namang kausap."
"Mahigit isang libong tao ang nahawaan ng Corona Virus ngayon sa Pilipinas, kaya stay safe tayo mga kapamilya." The person on the television uttered.
I scrolled through Facebook, hoping for a miracle to happen. Man, I swear to God, tangina nitong pandemiya na 'to.
Oo, tangina.
"Anak, lutuan mo nga ako ng pagkain." Paglambing ni Mama. I rolled my eyes, then looked at the clock. It's way past supper.
"Ayoko." I teased.
"Sige na, please!" She pouted as if she was a child. I rolled my eyes again and nodded. Ugh, what should I cook?
I stood up and went to the kitchen. Hindi ko alam ano p'wedeng lutuin. I looked for some eggs in the fridge, baka magluto na lang ako ng tamagoyaki.
Ah, sarap siguro ng sushi ngayon. My all time fave. Kung may ingredients lang kami, gumawa na 'ko.
While preparing, tangina, bigla kong nabitawan 'yung whisk. Biglang nagnotify phone ko.
Finally!
As I put down the bowl of beated eggs, I quickly checked my phone.
Ah, life. In this quarantine, all I've been focused on is my phone.
'Liannah Peña: Besh kamusta love life?'
Kamusta love life, huh? I laughed at my status. It's complicated.
'Sinthia Morales: ayun, wala pa din siyang oras sizt'
Typing, I heard Mom from the other room shouting, "'Beh! Magluto ka na! Gutom na 'ko!" I sighed as I opened the stove and waited for heat on the pan.
'Liannah Peña: Bakit naman ganon besh nakakasawa yung ganyan ha!!!'
I sighed again, agreed with her message, and messaged Kairby Ares.
'Sinthia Morales: bubb, how's work?'
'Kairby Ares: Ito kinda busy yEet. why why?'
'Sinthia Morales: kinda missing you already.'
'Kairby Ares: Awwww I miss you tooooooo love ya baby maya nalang uli'
I sighed in despair. God, damn it. Nakakasawa.
After ba naman niya akong i-abandona noong may problema ako, babalik siya na akala mo'y wala lang? Tapos tinanggap ko nga, wala namang oras sa'yo?
Don't even get me started with my problems on Kairby.
As I cooked tamagoyaki, may biglang nagnotify uli. Hoping it was Kairby, my heart jumped out of bliss.
Although it sank faster than the titanic when it crashed on the ice berg when it was a message request from a stranger—not Kairby.
I ignored the message and kept on cooking for Mom's food.
As I went back and gave my Mom her food, umupo uli ako sa sofa at nag scroll through Facebook.
May nakalimutan ba 'ko?
Wala naman siguro.
Scroll scroll sa Facebook, nag hihintay ng may magmessage. I checked Facebook stories, and saw this. . . unfamiliar text platform.
Pang text lang kaya 'to? Like Messenger?
The story was from my cousin, so I asked her kung ano 'yon. The unfamiliar application strucked like lightning.
