Wooyoung had been patiently scrolling on his phone for hours now, mindlessly scanning random articles about things he didn't particularly care about, while you sat cross legged on the floor below him, focused entirely on your study.

Maybe not entirely.

Occasionally you would look up, glancing at his handsome face to check for any signs of irritation at being cooped up in the same place for so long. You'd worried from the moment he'd joined you that he would quickly regret it and grow bored.

But your angelic boyfriend hadn't uttered a single word since you'd both sat down, and if he was annoyed by the lack of interesting things to be done he was a master at hiding it.

You tried for another 47 minutes to concentrate on retaining the information of the study notes in front of you, finding your eyes dragging every few minutes back to your boyfriend.

Finally his gaze lifted from his phone screen to meet yours expectantly, finally tired of ignoring the glances.

"Is everything okay?" He asked. You blinked in surprise, taken aback by the sound of his voice after the long silence you'd both sat in.

"Yeah." You responded, eyes flitting back to your screen guiltily.

You stared hard at the words, desperately trying to focus, but much like before they were just words, words that seemed to blur together now, each as meaningless as the one before it.

Wooyoung shifted, sending a cushion that had been propped behind him tumbling to the floor beside you. He placed his hands on your shoulders, leaning down to press a soft kiss to the top of your head.

"If you need a break we can go out for some food." He hummed quietly.

You smiled to yourself, resisting the urge to twist and wrap yourself into his warm arms and give in to his offer.

It was very tempting.

"Or we can stay here." He added, you could almost feel the smile in his voice as he spoke, dropping another kiss to your head before he leant back into his original position.

The choice was yours and he'd made that gently clear to you with his support of either option.

Not that that made it any easier for you to resist his first offer.

In the reflection of your laptop screen you could just see his face, a soft smile settled on his lips as he lifted his phone again, eyes drifting over the screen.

He didn't need to sit here with you while you studied, you'd told him that a few times in the first hour, but he had insisted that he had nothing better to do and would rather sit with you than by himself.

After one last attempt at focusing you let out a soft sound of resignation and shut your laptop, swiftly turning and pulling yourself up onto the sofa beside him.

Without a word he lifted his arm, allowing you to press against his side, his phone immediately dropping to his lap and his attention turning to you.

"Break time?" He asked with a grin that all but melted your insides. You smiled back up at him, finding his hand and interlocking it with yours.

"I think I'm done for today." You murmured, letting your head come to rest on his shoulder. He let out a hum in response, his gaze resting so intently on you that you felt it like a physical weight.

"Is everything okay?" You smiled to yourself as you repeated his earlier words to him. He let out a small sound of amusement that vibrated through you.

"Yeah." He chuckled, squeezing your fingers lightly. The motion sent a rush of warmth through you.

The two of you sat just like that for what felt like and could have been hours, each just relishing in the warmth and comfort of the other, not even talking.

"Are you sure you don't want to study some more?" Wooyoung split the silence suddenly, jolting you out of the semi slumber you'd slipped into and you blinked rapidly in an effort to refocus yourself.

"I'm sure." You looked up at him, catching his warm eyes with yours, watching them crinkle into crescents below his smile.

And then without warning his hand slipped from yours, rising to hold your face as his head dropped, mouth connecting gently but firmly with yours in a loving kiss.

A breath of surprise escaped you, disappearing into the sudden kiss he stole from you. Your hands came to rest on his chest, curling slightly into the thin material of his shirt, bringing him closer to you.

There was no urgency in the kisses shared between you, nothing but the desire to show each other how much love you felt.

Wooyoung's kisses moved from your lips to your cheek, from your cheek to your forehead and from your forehead to your nose, where he left his lips for a few moments before he shifted you properly onto his lap, arms wrapping loosely around your waist to support you.

You stared at him, eyes wide and heart beating unevenly, breathing falling a little heavier than normal from your lips.

No matter how many hours, days, weeks, months or years you had already spent with him, being so close to him and feeling his love for you so strongly in every touch and gaze was just as overwhelming for you as the first moment had been.

And you suspected that no amount of time would ever change that.

"I love you Jung Wooyoung, I love everything about you." You whispered to him, lifting a hand to cup his cheek. He leaned into it, eyes soft on you like there was nothing and nobody else he'd rather see.

A/n This one was very short i know (my second short Wooyoung one lmao) but I didn't intend for it to be much longer than this! I really enjoy having occasional short and sweet moments like this and I hope you enjoyed reading it! <333
