Hannei quickly got up before her grandfather notices her out of bed and she rushed out the door, fixing herself before meeting up with Kimi. It had been a week since the training exercise yet, the pain was still there. She hissed before looking for someplace secure. She stopped in an alleyway, pulled out her compact and saw the bruises had formed on her the back of her arms and her forehead.
She was going to be reckless again. She can't expose them or else she will receive worst punishment later.
Letting her hair down, she allowed it to cover her forehead before hissing softly. She almost forgot about the injuries to her back and legs. Thank goodness she had long socks and her uniform covered her back. Good thing she had gotten good at First Aid so the blood wouldn't show on her uniform as well.
She walked to school, surprisingly alone as Kimi was not there to greet her. She then felt the weather had begun to change and saw it was cloudy. Great, another stormy day.
She then met up with someone she had not been expecting.
Purple hair that had been it's usual messy self was in front of her. She felt her heart skip a beat and ran to greet him but remembered that he wasn't her boyfriend anymore. She took a deep breath and casually walked next to him.
"Do you always leave about 2 hours before school starts to be at campus, Shinso-san?" She said calmly as they walked, not holding hands or even making eye contact.
"Tell me, how's it feel?" Shinso spoke in a cold tone that broke her heart.
"How does what feels?" Hannei asked cautiously, wary of him and his quirk after nearly 10 years of friendship.
"Tell me how's it feel sittin' up there, feeling so high but too far away to hold me. You know I'm the one who put you up there; Name in the sky. Does it ever get lonely? Thinking you could live without me." Shinso spoke rather harshly.
What was he talking about?
"Tosh...Shinso-san, what are you talking about?" Hannei asked as the purple haired boy had pinned her to the wall.
Her eyes grew wide with worry and some fear. No, she can't be scared of him, he is her childhood friend and fear will cause her quirk to react badly, she needs to calm down. The injuries on her back were screaming but she wouldn't look away.
"I am the one who put you up there...I put you up there! I made you into what you are and you told me you would wait for me! You lied! Hannei, we were supposed to be together! Me, Kimi and You, us 3 were supposed to be heroes and you told me that you were not going to advance without me. You lied!" He growled in her face as tears were falling from her eyes.
He didn't know that she had no say, she was forced. She never wanted to leave him behind, she would rather be behind the others, chasing after them with all her strength. She hated herself, hated how self conscious she was but without Kimi and Shinso, she would be stuck, alone still with her disturbing thoughts.
Hannei pushed past him, tears falling from her eyes.
"Uhh, what's wrong? You never cry unless you are injured or something I said hit you hard." Hitoshi said as he grabbed her arm. She shook him off.
"I saw you….with a girl from your class….hope she makes you happier than I made you." Hannei mumbles before walking off, leaving Shinso shocked.
'STUPID! YOU STUPID, STUPID, STUPID, GIRL! Maybe they were right last night.' Hannei thought before coming across something that shattered her heart.
Kimi was talking and laughing, walking arm and arm with her Rival, Yamikumo Raijin. Hannei was frozen as if by her own Shadowlock.
Kimi looked so happy, laughing at something Raijin said. That's when he looked at her the same look that Shinso had with her once before. Were...were they together?
