Hannei walked up the steps of UA after leaving the rental house, the most prestigious academy in Japan. The day was sunny, barely any clouds in the sky yet she was walking alone. She gripped her backpack and sighed as she was stopped by some third years, complimenting her on her hair but she couldn't even muster a smile. She was about to ask where she was supposed to go for registration until she saw the registration table and signed it.
20 pointless minutes later, she was looking around for 1-A and was failing.
'Great, if I am lost already, imagine the rest of the year.' Hannei thought until she accidentally bumped into someone, knocking herself over but someone caught her before she hit the ground.
"Sorry about that. Normally people see me but I guess you were focused on trying to find your class, aren't you?" A tall boy with big muscles and blue eyes asked.
Hannei was about to answer when someone started to yell from down the hall. It was a girl with blue hair and a bright smile who was walking along with a boy with what looked like black hair from a distance that was looking down.
"Togata! There you are! Oh, did you meet a first year? Oh gosh! She is so cute! What's your name? Is your hair and eyes naturally silver or is because of your quirk? Are you a Support student?" The girl said with such excitement that it kinda scared Hannei until the boy beside her had his face against the wall.
"Nejire, let her answer one question before you ask another." The boy with indigo eyes and his now obvious indigo hair had said. It kinda broke Hannei's heart that she looked down and bowed out of respect.
"My apologies, Togata-senpai. I am looking for classroom 1-A." Hannei said with as much of a steady voice as she could. She was expecting a scolding, a stern warning or even a smack but all she heard was a laugh.
"Only Nejire here calls me by my last name. I am Mirio Togato but you, my tiny new friend, can call me Mirio. These are my friends, Nejire Hado and Tamaki Amajiki. What's your name?" He smiled down when she sat up and she was glad that her eyes were partially covered.
"Tsukikage, Hannei Tsukikage. May I ask again where classroom 1-A is?" She said softly, not wanting to seem rude.
"Well, Nei-chan, you are in Support Department hall, Heroic Department hall is the next hall over and it is the first door on your left. Tama-chan here will show you the way. By the way, I am Neijire Hado, I hope to see you around." She said as she waved.
Hannei nodded as looked over at the only person who had yet to introduce himself. She had assumed he was Tama-chan.
"L-let's go-o" he said with a stutter but she said nothing and followed the young man through the halls.
They walked in silence and she wasn't going to ask anything but he broke the silence, not looking at her.
"Your parents are pro-heroes, right?" He asked and all she did was nod.
"Do you want to be a hero?" he questioned and again, she nodded.
"What's your quirk?" He pressed on as they walked, never looking at her.
"It's called Shadow Mirror Manipulation. I can control Shadows and Reflections as well as walk through both like a portal but it requires a lot of concentration." She said and cursed when her voice cracked and her eyes watered.
He handed her a single yen coin and she looked confused.
"Americans have this tradition where they say 'A pe-penny for your thoughts' so a 100 yen coin for your thoughts." He stuttered once as they walked and she nodded.
