Hannei had spent a little bit of time in the clinic and then talking to Aizawa-sensei. Her end results, she had exhausted herself from her quirk and had actually unlocked the ability to copy the Mental Quirks as long as she maintained eye contact for now but it could cause more exhaustion than her Shadow side. Now, she just had to focus on growing that side of her quirk.
She had bowed to the healing hero as she had returned to where Hannei had been left to change back into her Uniform after the tests. "Please accept my humblest apology, Shuzenji-oishasan. I will work harder to ensure that I do not end up here."
"I saw the video from the attack. I am just surprised that you were able to hold your Central Nervous System together while dealing with over 10 villains without proper training. Yet, you also ensured that your classmate wasn't harmed, young lady. Your aunt left for the day already after ensuring you are okay but she is beyond proud of you." The woman expressed as Hannei felt something grow inside of her.
Someone was proud of her? Of the girl who she thought everyone would be in the shadows forever?
"Shuzenji-oishasan, can I ask a question?" Hannei asked, her voice shaking some.
"Of course deary, what is it?" The elder responded as Hannei remained looking down.
"Am I really deserve to be here? I mean, am I really that needed to be here?"
The woman smiled at the young girl and walked over, grabbing her hand gently.
"Everyone here deserves it for one reason or another. No one knows why anyone is truly born but remember this, you are here for a reason but only you know that reason. You are worried because of the news and then the attack, aren't you?"
Hannei had nodded but it was a lie. It was mainly about the news of her having a real biological family.
"Tsukikage, look at me" she said as Hannei looked at the gray-haired woman. "You have nothing to worry about here. Us staff members and your classmates will always be there for you. Anytime you feel overwhelmed, come to any of us, we will help you."
Hannei bowed again in thanks before going home, knowing that her evening was going to be a painful one but she had Dabi to text at least.
********
The following week, Hannei felt herself return to some normalcy. Her classmates cheered for her newfound improvement over her quirk. She thanked them each but something was off about 4 of her classmates as they thanked her each separately.
The usually overwhelming and loud blonde that is Bakugo was protective of her when she was away from anyone in his friend group. Hell, he nearly fought Kamanari for making a comment on how cute you looked with your hair up rather than down but you ignored him to hide the bruises on your neck your grandparents caused.
The mysterious and quiet raven-haired boy that's Yamikumo was walking her to her station in the afternoon with Kimi. Her best friend thought it be a good idea to give her rival her cell number and he began texting her that day. She finally had to go into "Ghosting Mode" to ignore him as she texted Himiko and Dabi.
The emerald hair of Midorya was blushing every time she was around, even with others. He was always the first one to run over when she successfully Shadowlocked several targets to ensure that she wasn't going to pass out despite Aizawa telling him she can handle it.
Then, the one she had become close friends with was the Sharp-tooth smile of Kirishima; he was always holding her bags and making sure she didn't overwork her quirk but constantly and cheerfully smiling as he cheered her on.
