Chapter 41

Earth-38, National City, Barry and Kara's Loft, May 2017

Kara was pacing around still waiting for Alex and Barry, she started to worry, many things came to her mind, what if Barry has cold feet? What if she's just sick? Or she isn't going to be a great mother.

She started to have a panic attack, her crinkle started to appear every time she watches the pregnancy test.

Eventually, her husband and sister arrived both of them preoccupied with her since she was just watching the pregnancy test.

"Kara, babe I'm here what's up?" he said, she turns around and immediately hugs him

"I think I'm pregnant..." the face of Barry started to light up

"Ha-have you take the pregnancy test?" he said still happy

"N-no I was waiting for you..." she said looking to the ground still with the crinkle on her face

"What's wrong girl of steel?" he said looking to the crinkle

"I don't know... What if it's not a baby? What if I'm just sick? Or what if I'm a bad mother?" she started to let tears fall and Barry grab her hands

"Babe look at me..." he said waiting for her to look at him

"You will not be a bad mother, you're going to be the best, and don't worry you are not sick, we try a month ago, and there's no kryptonite near, so go and try it, we are going to wait for you right here," he said kissing her, then she started to walk to the bathroom pregnancy test on her hand before entering she sighed one more time.

Minutes pass and Kara didn't get out of the bathroom and Barry started to preoccupied, but finally, she came out, her face didn't show anything

"Are you..." Barry started and she nodded

"Yes, I'm pregnant," she said running towards Barry and he caught her mid-air hugging her

"We are going to be parents," she said kissing him

"We are going to be parents!"

"I'm going to be an aunt!"

"Auntie Alex!" Kara responded with a smile and the three of them share a big hug Barry and Kara glancing each other

Earth-1, December 2018, Space (Waverider)

"Kara wait," Lena finished but they were on a different place, it wasn't Barry and Kara's loft anymore, the twins still on their hands Lena started to look around but her eyes couldn't see anything, they had to wait so they can be used to the light

"Kara? Alex? Were you girls at?" she said

"Uh... Here," Alex said

"What happened? Where are we? Why we aren't on National City?" Kara said

"Kara!" someone said behind her

"Barry?" she said turning to her husband

"Thank god you're alright"

"Where are we?" she said still looking around

"The Waverider, the crisis just started..."

"I no- wait... National City, I have to..." Barry started to hug her

"It-it's gone, Kara we more than 100 earths are gone..."

"No... I-I have to" she started to broke the hug

"I'm sorry," Barry whispered as Kara started to cry

"All those people... Are dead... If I could just save them..."

"Kara you couldn't do anything, people were already vanishing when we talked, and we nearly made it, which brings another question... who saved us?" Alex asked while Kara was still hugging Barry and letting tears fall while he is relaxing her

"Me," someone said entering the main room

"Layla?" Kara and Barry said

"I'm Harbinger, and I brought you and some other heroes to the Waverider to help stop the crisis," she said

"Yeah I know about the crisis, Barry is supposed to vanish on this crisis, but we are going to stop it, I'm going to stop it I can't lose anyone else,"

"Perfect, the Monitor told me to show everyone what's happening, and that's exactly what I'm going to do but everyone needs to get here right now. Gideon tell everybody to come here and also talk to the legion so they can come here as well and get what we are going to do,"

"Of course, everyone will come in a few minutes Harbinger,"

"Perfect,"

"Barry, Kara?"

"What's up Lena?" Barry said

"What do I do with the twin?" she asked

"Uh... Give them to me, I need to clear my mind, for a while..." Kara said

"I go with you," Barry whispered

"No, stay, you need to understand what's about to happen and then you tell me, I just want to be alone... Please babe,"

Barry was about to fight back but he just sighed "Fine, but if you need me, call me, really, I'll tell you everything when she finishes," Kara barely nodded mumbled to her husband "love you" and then she took the twins to the library, letting a very concerned Barry behind

"She's going to be okay, give her time Barry, she just lost her world," Oliver said putting his hand on Barry's back, he heard everything that happened and he just went to help his friend

"I know, I'm just really worried about Kara... the only thing she has now is the twins, Alex, Lena and me, and I don't want her to lose me too," he said were Kara left a few seconds before

"She's not going to lose you, Barr, I know that I have a feeling and she knows that too, and so do you, right now you focus on what's going to says Layla, so you can help your wife, and she just needs to calm down and besides you, those twins really calm her down we both know that Barr and you have to accept it that they calm her better than you,"

"Well, just a little, when we are mad at each other, like one moment every month the twins really help her, but now I just want to do that..." she said

"Relax, your moment is going to be after this meeting, and happy with your family, they need you and you need them,"

"I always do,"

"Now let's go, we need a crisis to stop, and we know it's not going to be easy, but it's going to be worth it, do this for her and them,"

Then both of them started to get near the main room so they could hear everything about this big battle, but Barry was still thinking about Kara and the Twins, he never stopped thinking about them since this crisis started, and if he needs to sacrifice himself for the sake of the multiverse and Kara, he will always do everything just for Kara and the twins, they are his whole life and he loses them just so they can live, he will do it thousand times more...
