Chapter 11 : Day 1

Grace POV

"Before we start, let me explain a little about the resort, Na?" Khun Tum started the briefing session.

I then threw my glance towards P'Gulf who is standing beside me while Khun Mew who was standing close to us.

"Our resort is comprised of 3 main areas. The first area is the center, which is called Jongcheveevat Rancho. It's where the rooms and villas are located. Next to that, on the west side is Jongcheveevat Adventure. This is where the guest could do various group activities such as mountain climbing, golf, horse riding, farm tour..." Khun Tum explained as he refers to the layout map.

"Khun Mew, will you stop giving me the once-over look? I'm here to work, not to enter a beauty pageant!" suddenly P'Gulf pointed out, keeping his voice low not to distract the others.

"I know, because with your style and figure...doesn't meet the standards of a beauty contestant at all!" Khun Mew smirked as he enjoys his coffee.

"You j..." P'Gulf was about to curse but decided not to considering there are other people with them. Instead, he mouthed the words.

"Kob Khun Na, for the compliment," Khun Mew teased him, still with his smirk.

"It's an insult, not a compliment, you creep!" P'Gulf stomps his feet.

Making the others to divert their attention to them.

"That's okay, I'm not offended," Khun Mew laughed to himself.

"Er...Thuk khn, as you will be working in customer service, you really need to get yourself familiar with all these places, Na? As for Gulf, it's important too for you to get familiar with this resort layout. But if you need help, you can ask me directly, Na?" P'Tum closed the briefing session.

"Gulf, we need to get back to the cafe to discuss a few stuff with the rest of the crew. Tum, I'll leave her in your hands, Na?" Khun Mew then walks out from the room, followed by the new worker.

"Khun Grace, please follow me. I'll explain to you your duties in detail and introduce you to the others," Khun Tum then leads the way.

"And this is the staff canteen. But you can also have your lunch at our cafe. Just have the cashier to scan your ID card to get staff discount, Na?" he explained as we walked into the canteen.

"This resort is really huge. It's already lunch by the time you finished giving us a quick tour of the resort, P'Tum," I commented as we lined up with the other's to get our food.

"Yeah. This is their biggest resort. By the way, you have been living in South Korea for a few years, isn't it? You must've been able to speak fluently," he commented.

"Yeah. But I have never worked there as we came back here when I was 19, right after I finished high school,"

"Aw, why did you graduate a year late?" he asked, totally puzzled.

I'm doomed!

"Oh Tum, you have lunch here today?" suddenly someone asked him.

"Oho, Eye. Yes, I just took our new staff for a quick tour," he pointed to the others.

"And who is she? You have been talking to her since you arrived," her friend asked.

"She's Grace. Khun Gulf younger sister. Grace, this is Eye and Mai," he introduced me to them.

"Oho, you are Khun Gulf's younger sister?" P'Eye asked.

"Yes, Sawadee Ka," I greeted them.

"Goodness, you don't really look alike. But I must say, your family is full of beauties! Look at Khun Gulf, he's a guy, but he looked that beautiful!" P'Mai commented.
