"Let's talk in private Iza." Isabella suggested.

She pats her on the head before standing up, holding the girl's hand as they walk to her room.

The child already knew what kind of conversation they were going to have and it made her feel somewhat nervous but eager to finally liberate herself from feigning ignorance all these years.

When they enter, Iza closes the door behind her as Mama pulls up a chair and signals for her to sit down.

Mama takes a deep breath, preparing herself to spill the secret she's kept for so long before she finally lays it all on the table.

The bluennette sat quietly, patiently waiting for the woman to finish.

Her eyes focused on the woman's guilt-ridden ones, completely unfazed at the information that was being spilled to her.

"I already know Mama." Iza cut her off as Mama stared at her in surprise.

"I see. So they told you already?" Mama's eyes darkened as she glared at the bluennette.

"No. I've known for 6 years now." The girl responded calmly at the woman whose eyes widened.

She composes herself before looking at Iza with a smirk.

"Well, that caught me a bit off guard. I must commend you for being quite the convincing actress then, I never even once suspected you."

Iza let out a low chuckle.

"Krone said the same thing, although.."

Her face turned into a frown as she lowered her head.

"I wasn't acting."

"Mostly anyways."

Mama raised a curious brow at the girl's response.

"Mostly?" She inquired.

"While it is true I do put up an act when necessary, none of my affection was lies."

"Despite what you've done or plan on doing when I said I loved you, I meant it, Mama.."

"Besides, I'm no better than you," Iza responded.

"And what do you mean by that?"

The woman crossed her arms, leaning in close.

"I..allowed those kids to be shipped out without even once doing anything to stop it."

"I used them to delay the inevitable."

"Although I might not have been close to them, they were still family."

"The guilt of knowing I let innocent people die disgusts me."

"Sure you're selfish for doing this but you couldn't do anything, and you only want to live just like the rest of us."

"So I can never hate you for something you have no control over." Iza smiled warmly.

Mama stared at her with a sorrowful expression.

'For a child to have to mature this young.'

'Forgive me.'

She placed her hands on the girl's shoulders, bending down to her height.

"Would you like to become a Mama?" The woman asked.

"I can recommend you to be one. You don't have to die."

She lifted her hands from Iza's shoulder to cup the girl's cheek and rest her forehead on hers.
