I never felt truly 'at home' at any place I was at. Most foster parents I had that had kids, hated me, one of my old foster brothers, James, used to make me intentionally mad and once I fought back, I'd always be the one who got into trouble. It doesn't matter though, I understand why I wasn't wanted, I was just some random kid who all of sudden came into his life and just fucked it up I guess.
That's probably how Shiro feels. I've always been a waste of space, I wish Rob and Melody never adopted me or fostered me, I should've killed myself once that fiasco with Jason or Lotor. But then again, I wouldn't have met Lance, he probably hates me too.
I sighed and lay my head on my steering wheel, I couldn't hear the constant honk it was making through my sobs. That was until someone tapped on my window, I looked up and rolled my window down, "Can I h-help you?" I asked.
It was a man, a much older man. He looked like he was in his early to mid forties; brown hair with grey roots, sun-kissed skin, wrinkles under his eyes and forehead. His eyes were dark and it was sort of comforting, if it wasn't for the furrowed eyebrows, I probably would've calmed down but I got even upset. "Do you have any idea how long you were honking just now!?" He questioned.
"I-I'm" He cut me off.
"You scared the hell out of my daughters, you moron!" His accent was heavy, he stepped aside to show me Lance's younger sisters: Lallia and Lucy, who looked up at me and stopped crying, small sniffles.
"Hey Keith!" They exclaimed, I smiled weakly at them.
"How do you know them?" He asked.
"Oh... I'm Lance's... err... friend from school." I stammered. He nodded, sceptically at me.
"Right." He said.
"I'm really sorry but I'm kinda not having a good day and I need to go home, I'm sorry for bothering you sir." I mumbled, "I'll see you guys another time." I waved at the girls and started my car and drove out of the parking lot.
Once they were out of site, I called Lance through my car. After a couple of rings, he answered.
"You okay baby?"
"I'm fine I guess but your dad was in the parking lot with the girls, he yelled at me for being loud or whatever, I told him I was your friend from school since the girls recognised me."
"Ah okay, thanks for letting me know. I'm gonna get going since Shiro said he said he'll give me a lift with Adam." He said before pausing, "I talked to him, by the way. He said that he didn't mean what he said, he'll probably talk to you later."
I sighed, "Alright, he doesn't need to apologise or anything. I totally get why he said it." I mumbled, the tears building up once again. "I-I'm gonna go now. I love you, I'll talk to you later. Bye."
"Keith, are you okay?" He asked.
"I'm fine, don't worry about it."
He sighed, "Alright, I love you so much, Keith."
"I-I love you more." I whispered and hung up before breaking down once again.
"I can't do this." I whispered, continuing to drive home. Once I got home, I locked my car and got back into the house, Rob and Melody weren't home yet so I went upstairs and grabbed one of my razor blades.
I locked my door and sat down in front of it, I pulled my pants down and cut a few lines into my thighs, I did them higher up so they wouldn't be visible in clothes and so Lance would hardly notice them. I felt so stupid about being so worked up about Shiro and Lotor. About everything, really.
