A/N: This is a follow-up to 'In This Shirt' so if you somehow haven't read that yet, you probably should so this'll make sense.  It contains brief mentions of cheating in a relationship and a dysfunctional relationship, so if that is something that would bother you feel free to skip out!  Also, the fanart used above is not mine.  I have no artistic skills.  That being said, I hope this is a good follow-up!

 "Janus? Can you c'mere?"

"Be right there, Stormcloud."

Janus saved his work document and shut his laptop, standing from the couch. He was working on presenting a new case in family court. But his boyfriend was calling him, so he took a break. He found Virgil back in the bedroom. They were in the process of moving apartments, so there were boxes piled up everywhere. Virgil was busy sorting through a pile of clothes on the bed.

"What's up, V?' Janus asked, hugging him from behind.

"I was wondering if you could help me sort through everything. I don't think our new place will have enough space for all of this stuff to not be organized."

"If storage will be an issue we can get rid of some things."

"Great. I'll just hold up some stuff and you can tell me if you want to keep or donate it."

"Okay." Janus nodded. He sat on the bed and smiled as his boyfriend started holding up different shirts and hoodies. "Donate... donate... keep... donate..."

Virgil and Janus went through the pile of clothes pretty fast, but there was one hoodie that gave Janus a lot of pause. When Virgil held up the gray cat hoodie with a front pouch he had no idea how many memories he sparked in Janus.

His ex-boyfriend Patton had given him that hoodie when he was sick with a cold. It was a constant trade that they had. Whenever one of them was sad or sick, the other was right there to pass over the hoodie. It was a comfort item for both of them but now it was only available to Janus. He had wondered why Patton left the hoodie when he left. It was Patton's to begin with, but for some reason he'd left it behind.

Janus still had no idea why.

"I'll donate it, but I know who I want to give it to."

"Alright. A friend of yours?" Virgil asked, folding the hoodie and setting it aside.

"I guess you could say that." Janus shrugged.

"Wait.. wasn't this Patton's hoodie?"

"Yeah."

"And you kept it?"

"He left it."

"Why didn't you get rid of it?" Virgil asked, getting defensive.

"I don't know! I just didn't, okay?"

"Why are you keeping your ex-boyfriend's stuff?!"

"I just said I was going to donate it!" Janus shouted confused.

"But you've kept it this long!" Virgil shouted back.

Before long they were in another one of their loud arguments. Things had definitely been a bit strenuous between them lately, and clearly Virgil was fed up with it. By the time they were both tired of yelling Virgil had made the decision to take his things and move into the new apartment by himself. Which was perfectly fine with Janus if he was perfectly honest.

Clinginess had been cute on Patton, but with Virgil it was just exhausting.

The next day, Janus decided to drive over to Logan's house and give Patton his hoodie back while Virgil was at work. He wasn't sure how Logan or Patton would react to him showing up but he hoped things would go over smoothly.
