CHAPTER SIX : PART ONE
WHERE THE FAMILIAR ARE HATEDSILAS KEPT HIS FACE BLANK AS HE STOOD AMONGST THE WITNESS HIS FACE COVERED BY A FACE MASK AND HEAD HIDDEN BY A HOOD. The rest of the coven we're dressed the same, deciding to stay hidden until the right time.
Tiana's hands flexed as the metal of her arms bracelets moved ever so slightly while Peter grounded his teeth together, dark clouds forming overhead. Cecilia hard her arm wrapped around her mate, eyes set into a glare while Silas stood at the front arms crossed over his chest.
Carlisle and Esme stood beside him, and he and the blonde shared a nod before they turned to face the field. Silence overtook the witness as they waited.
Edward, if this does not go according to plan, I'm sending Tiana and Cecilia with Renesmee and Jake. Silas's cool voice echoed in the mind reader's head and he gave the slightest of nods.
"The red coats are coming, the red coats are coming." Garrett muttered, bouncing slightly in place and he was right.
They were coming indeed. Silas thought bitterly a snarl pulling on his lips when he saw the guard break the tree line.
They came in a synchronized formation - showing off their power and authority, and Cecilia barely contained the grow building in her throat. The hues of their cloaks were darker in the middle, compared to the ones outside. There were thirty-five on their side all guarded and ready for a battle. The line began to take a fan-like formation, the most important people.
His eyes stayed emotionless when the raven-haired king settled his eyes on his family, a growl rumbling deep within her chest, though it did not escape it. Peter straightened up and kept his hand on Tiana's arm, while Silas kept his on Cecilia's.
"Aro's looking for Alice." Edward muttered reading the older vampire's mind. Of course, the greedy bastard is. Silas grumbled within his mind.
Howls broke through the trees and soon the shifters emerged, weaving in between the witnesses as Jacob came to stand beside Bella and Renesmee. Silas gave him a nod, which he returned before both of their eyes settled on Carlisle.
"Aro," Carlisle said, making Aro focus his attention on his old friend. "Let us discuss things as we used to, in a civilized manner." He continued calmly.
"Fair words, Carlisle. But a little out of place, given the battalion you've assembled against us." Aro retaliated, his eyebrows furrowing as he gestured to the witnesses and Silas had to bite back a scoff.
"I can promise you, that was never my intent. No laws have been broken." The oldest Cullen reasoned.
"We see the child, " Caius hissed, a scowl on his face, and Cecilia let a growl leave her throat - though it silenced when Silas shot her a look. "Do not treat us as fools."
