*Ella POV*

4th of July!!!! WOOOHOOO

No practice this morning. Yay.

I end up sleeping in till 8:30. I put on shorts and a superman tank top with a matching blue bandana. I put my hair in a pony tail and sit outside on the porch swing. I leave my glasses on because I'm to lazy to put my contacts in.

Hayes sits next to me and kisses me on the cheek.

"Morning princess." he says and looks at me. I look at him and wait for.....

"Woah, you have glasses?" Hayes asks. I smile and giggle a little.

"I love it when new people say that to me. Yea, I've had glasses since 3rd grade. These are my newest pair." I say and give him a geeky smile.

"They look good." Hayes says. "How come I haven't seen you wear them before?"

"I put in my contacts when I got to swim practice, and that's usually before you wake up."

"Oh," he says.

*Hayes POV*

"I have to ask you something," I say.

"What's up?" Ella asks.

"When are we going to tell our parents we are dating?" I ask. Ella looks down at her feet.

"I don't know. We've only known each other for a month and we've already started a relationship. If we tell them now, I'm afraid that they will give me the old 'You're too young to have a boyfriend, you don't know what love is' speech and then they won't let me be with you." She explains.

"I say, we give it a few days, so I can get to know your father more and show him how best of friends we are, then I ask him for his approval to date you." I plan out.

"Sounds nifty." she says and gives me a fist bump.

~

We are currently in a big firework factory/store buying fireworks and sparklers for tonight. By we I mean me, Lucy, Frannie, My mom, and Nash.

I made sure that we got fireworks that exploded into different shapes, like smiley faces, stars, sunglasses, and especially hearts, as well as tons of sparklers and the little things that you throw at the ground and they make a loud pop noise. Perfect for jump scares.

We go into the grocery store next and I get some stuff for the Christmas in July video that Ella and I are going to make.

Next, we stop at a little mini mall. Nash and I go to the year round Christmas store and get some more stuff, while the girls go and look at shoes.

*Still Hayes POV*

"Ready?" I ask Ella.

"Ready." She says. I sit down in the un-decorated living room to begin the video. Everything else is set up in the kitchen. "3, 2, 1... Hey guys! It's Hayes here with a brand new video. But before the video starts, I must travel to a special place..." I snap my fingers to que the cut scene that I will edit later and go into the decorated kitchen where "Ella the Elf" is waiting for her intro. I put on my apron and reindeer antlers and snap again.

"The North Pole! Today, we are doing a Christmas in July video. You may be asking, 'What does he mean by we?' Worry no more, because I have a very special guest with me today. My FRIEND Ella the Elf!" Ella jumps up from behind the counter.

"Howdy!" She says. With her standing as tall as my shoulders, she kinda looks like an elf.

"Today, we are going to be making Christmas cookies!" Ella explains.

"We have our handy-dandy cookie mix, cookie cutters, and decorations." I say. We mix all of the ingredients together and begin to cut the dough into shapes.

"Ooh! I call the gloves!" Says Ella as she grabs the glove shaped cookie cutter.

"Um, I'll take the ginger bread man." We put flour on the cookie sheet, then roll the dough out with a rolling pin. While I'm rolling the dough, I fell something hit me face.

*Ella POV*

Hayes is rolling out the dough, which gives me really nothing to do. The bag of flour is right next to me. That's when I saw my chance.

I took a pinch of flour out of the bag, studied it, then flicked it at Hayes. It hit his nose and part of his mouth. He stops in mid roll.

I can't help but giggle a bit. He made a funny face trying to blow it off of his nose. He took a bit of flour from the sheet and flicked it at me. He looked at me waiting for me to make a move.

I took some flour and put it under my eyes, like eyeblack that football players wear on their faces, put my fists in fighting position and said "Bring it."

"I would but I don't wanna clean anymore than we have to." Hayes said. Man he's no fun.

I put flour eyeblack on Hayes with my thumbs and we tend back to the cookies.

"While those are baking, I'm going to teach y'all how to make super cool snowflakes." I say into the camera. We get out the supplies and begin crafting.

"Now for the frosting." Hayes says. In the process of doing this, Hayes take a finger full of frosting and puts it on my cheek. At first I give him a look, then I just take an un frosted cookie, wipe some of the frosting off of my face, and just eat it. I can hear hayes mumble "Ew,"

We end up frosting them... well, not as pretty as we intended to. So we pull up a picture of really fancy decorated cookies on my computer, and make a comparison vine.

Out of no where, "Santa" comes into the room with a present for me and Hayes.

"What a lovely surprise Santa!" Hayes says.

"What brings you here?" I ask

"HO ho HO, I've got a present for you two." He hands us little envelopes and we open them. Both of our jaws drop.

"Well, what is it?" Asks Santa.

Inside of the envelopes were plane tickets to my definition of the best place on earth. I look at Hayes and can tell he's very excited.

"WE'RE GOING TO COSTA RICA!" We both yell in excitement.

"Thank you Santa! I totally didn't expect this!" Hayes says.

"No problem kiddos! No you be good until Christmas actually comes. I'll see you later!" Santa says. "HO HO HO! Merry Christmas!" He exits the room.

"Bye!" We both say.

"Well.... I guess we'll see you in Costa Rica!"

"Adios!" Hayes and I say as we wave good bye to the camera.
