Chapter 16: Costa Rica

*Hannah POV*

"Flight 548 now boarding, Flight 548 now boarding." The flight attendant announced. I'm so excited for Costa Rica. We get to zipline through the jungle, swim and explore in a coral reef, propel down waterfalls, and visit an active volcano.

I can't believe that Mr. Stewart got plane tickets for a fraction of the cost they usually would be. This trip is going to be amazing! I can get half of my bucket list complete.

Skylynn sat in between Nash and I, but she sat on my lap to look out of the window most of the time. Ella, Hayes and Lucy sat in front of us. We flew from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Atlanta, Georgia, to San Jose, Costa Rica. Sky, Nash and I fell asleep on our way there.

"Ok, sleeping beauties, Time to wake up. We're here." Chad said. I flinched when he spoke creating a chain reaction with Sky and Nash.

"You look cute when you're half asleep," I said to Nash. He smiled and kissed my fore head. I was holding Sky like a baby, so when Nash kissed me, Sky said "EEEwww"

As soon as we got off of the plane, it was big stretch fest. All of us were twisting our bodies in weird positions to get the kinks out of our bodies. It was one in the morning, so we checked into our hotel and went to bed.

*Hayes POV*

I woke up to Nash's snoring. God, he's loud. I horse kick him in the leg and he wakes up instantly.

"Dude, what the hell?" He whisper yelled.

Nila and Chad were in the other bed, so Nash and I had to share.

Ella, Hannah, Skylynn, Frannie and Lucy were in the room connected to ours. I walked in their room and examined it a little. Skylynn was in between Ella and Hannah. She must've gotten cold or something, because there was an abandoned rollaway bed close by.

I walked over to Ella and kissed her head. She's so adorable when she's sleeping. Hannah looked pretty cu- woah Hayes, no. You can't think that about your girlfriend's friend, who is taken by your brother.

Eh, I'm a guy. I can't help it.

*Ella POV*

Today we get to take a hike through the jungle. I've always wanted to do this! Everyone puts on tennis shoes, a t shirt and shorts. We all grab water bottles and go.

We saw all kinds of animals. Sloths, parrots monkeys, frogs, spiders and snakes. My dad almost stepped on a poisonous snake. With him being in the army, you'd thinks he wouldn't be scared of anything. Nope. He's terrified of snakes, so he freaked out when he saw it. It was very funny.

"My legs are dead," I said as we sat down for dinner. Everyone agreed with me.

"Hola! Como estas?" The waitress said. (Translation: Hello! How are you?")

"Muy bien! Y tu?" I answered her. (Good, How about you?)

"Habla espanol?!" She was shocked. "No muchos turistas hablar espanol!" I laughed a little at that. (You speak spanish? Not many tourists speak spanish).

"Soy el único que nos hace," I said. "por favor hable inglés con el resto de los" (I'm the only one that does. Please speak english to the rest of them)

"Absolutamente, How is everyone this evening?"

We all ate and headed back to the room. Hayes and I cuddled for a while once we got there.

"I love you Hayes." I said.

"I love you too Ella. Today was fun." Hayes responded.

"Yeah... " I was half asleep. Hayes's arms were wrapped around my waist. I felt so safe in his arms.

There was a knock on the door. In fear that it was my father, Hayes and I split as fast as lightning. I answered the door, and It was my dad.

"Hi daddy," I said and hugged him.

"I came by to say goodnight. Ma went to bed already, and imma hit the sack too. Goodnight, El. Goodnight Hayes." He waved to Hayes.

"Goodnight, sir." Hayes said.

"Ya know, Hayes is a good kid. You should date him." My father said, elbowing me in the shoulder.

"Really? You never approve of the guys I hang out with." I say in shock.

"Yeah, but I like this one. He better not hurt you, or I'll hurt him."

"Yeah, yeah. Goodnight. Give Ma a kiss for me."

"Goodnight El," and dad left.

I do a little happy dance and go sit by Hayes again.

"Guess what" I say to Hayes

"He approves?" he askes

"Yes!! Wait, you heard that?"

"Yep, and I'm super happy!" Hayes started to tickle me, and I was defenceless. I fell off the bed and laid on the floor.

"Ow.."
