Summer with a Grier

Chapter 1: Arival

"Ella, hurry up! we are leaving in five minutes!" My mom shouts up the stairs. I quickly grab my sunglasses, my phone, and my bandana and hop in the car. I can't wait to get to the beach. During the 45 minute car ride, I scroll through my pictures of my favorite Magcon boys, Hayes and Nash, and play with my hair. Finally we are here.

"We get condo number 8 this year." my mom says. I get my bags and practically run to the condo to claim the bigger room. As I run through the parking lot, I notice a car with a North Carolina license plate. Yay, Lucy's here!! But wait, why is there another car from NC? Did they bring another car? Maybe more family? i don't know, but I'll find out.

I unpack my stuff, then help my mom unpack the coolers of food and put them in the fridge.

"Mom, I'm going to go find Hannah and Lucy! I'll be back later" I yell as I walk out the door. I have my blank and pink bikini on under my orange swim suit cover up. I head down the stairs (since it is a two story building with about 6 condo apartment things in it) and find Hannah first.

I look across the lawn at the beach. I see Hannah making a sand castle kingdom with her brother Jacob.

"I now declare this sand kingdom as mine!" I say, like I'm a king. They both turn and look at me. Jacob, who is only ten, smiles and says "Hey El." while Hannah tackles me in a bear hug.

"Ella I missed you so much!!" She says.

"I.. *cough* missed you too.. *cough* Hannah. Now can..*cough* you let go?"

"Oh ya, sorry" Hannah lets go and I regain my breath. "So how are you?" she asks

"In pain." I say and we both laugh.

"Have you seen Lucy yet?" I ask.

"Ya. They got here yesterday. Oh, and they brought their cousins. I haven't met them yet, though." says Hannah. "I think they went tubing. They should be back soon."

"Ok cool." We talk for a while, then we go inside to eat.
