          (A/N)

Hey all, long time no see. I'm not sure how many months it has been, but the break went on a little too long. I may or may not have lost motivation to continue this story, but because of the amount of people who have been enjoying it, I'll do my best to continue it. School started a couple months ago, and with it mostly being online, I'm being drained of any sort of enjoyment I once had for sitting at my computer for hours on end. I won't be sticking to any sort of schedule this time around, and I'll also be posting far less frequently than before I vanished. On the bright side, I did get a new computer, so that's pretty cool. Anyways, enjoy the chapter.

          (Your POV)

After the run in with Bam and the rest of the group, I followed them all back to a table. We talked and laughed while they all ate, and I continued to be happy, so I found it odd when I crawled into bed and suddenly felt so sullen. As much as I tried to ignore it, I couldn't, and it was keeping me awake. Eventually I gave up, and made my way over to the desk that sat in the corner of my bedroom.

I sat there for several moments, trying to figure out what to make of things. Eventually, I grabbed a notebook and began to write. I started with a short journal entry, which turned into a letter to my parents, and everyone back home. Then it bled into something for (B/F/N).

     Dear (B/F/N),

I hope you've been well. I don't suppose this message will find you easily, considering my current whereabouts. No matter what you've said in the recent past, I continue to miss you greatly. I've already fought for my life while being here. Our next trial is swiftly approaching. I won't know what it is until the day of most likely. Even so, I believe I'll be safe.

I stopped writing as small water droplets landed on my paper. I grazed my cheek gently with my hand only to find that I had began crying. I wiped the tears from my face, opting to continue writing that letter later on. In the meantime, I began to write about a little girl, trapped in a world of giants. The fantasy of it all carried me away, and by the time I checked the time, it was 4:00 am.

I let out a soft sigh, and ran my hands through my hair. I sat there for a moment, leaning back and looking up at the ceiling. I let all the thoughts drain from my mind. I could tell my eyes were red rimmed again, but I didn't mind. I threw on a change of clothes and walked out of my bedroom.

The hallway was eerily quiet, but I didn't mind. I walked into the cafeteria and nodded at the line cook, immediately after making my way to him.

"Do you ever sleep?" He asked.

     "On occasion." I responded.

That was the extent of our conversation. I didn't even have to ask for the coffee, he just handed it over to me. As I tried to use my credits to pay, he stopped me, shaking his head. Then he handed me another muffin.

          (Khun's POV)

I sat up groggily, my alarm quietly buzzing next to me. I've always been a light sleeper, which is good when you don't want to wake any of your scary neighbors. A moment after I shut my alarm off, I hear quiet footsteps making their way down the hall, past my door. I sigh at the thought of having to share the normally quiet cafeteria with someone unsavory, before rolling out of bed and throwing some clothes on.

Slowly and tiredly, I make my way out the door and around the corner to see a small figure sitting at a table in the cafeteria. Her (H/L) (H/C) hair gave her away instantly, and I let out a sigh of relief. She sat there eating the same thing she did several mornings ago. A chocolate muffin and a mug of coffee.

As I got closer, I could tell she had been crying. I'm not sure why, but seeing her like that made a pang of guilt fill me. I made my way in and ordered a cup of coffee from the linecook.

"Good morning... Rough night?" I asked, trying to be cautious about my wording.

She glanced up at me, making it all the more obvious that she had. "Yeah... Just some trouble sleeping."

I nodded at her, before sitting next to her. Even in this state, I have to admit she is very pretty. Her delicate hands pick up the mug, and she gently lifts it to her mouth, taking a sip.

"It's rude to stare, you know." A slight tint of pink covered her cheeks, and I grew red at that statement too.

"Ah, sorry. Just- uh. You're pretty-" The words slipped out before I had a chance to stop them, and she paused. Her face turning a more obvious shade of red. "I mean-  I'm sorry, that just slipped out." I tried to justify myself, digging myself a deeper hole.

"Thank you." was all she said in response.

Despite the awkward beginning, we sat together in a comfortable silence until the cafeteria began to fill with others.
