As always Henry was waiting at the car, opening her door as she approached.
As she waited for Henry to open her door she quickly touched up her makeup. Lipstick never hurt anyone she thought. Walking in to the restaurant and quickly glancing to find the man who summoned her here.
She could feel the gazes of the men at the bar roaming their eyes up and down her body, Could they be more obvious? As the blush rose to her cheeks as she caught one of them staring she moved toward Charlie who was getting up to greet her, stepping around the table he placed a kiss on her cheek.
“Charlie” she smiled and turned to the two men only to find herself stopping short at the sight of Grayson Stone. Dammit could she not escape this man? Evading the thought she smiled and stretched out a hand to Mike Commons, one of the more respected Independent directors of the genre. She was a fan of a few of his films eclectic and eccentric to say the least, more recently he was nominated at the Tribeca Film Festival, bracing herself, “Lara Morgan, it’s an honour to meet you.” Although she hated sucking up to him, His ego was already sucking all the oxygen out of the room.
“Miss Morgan, Charlie has nothing but praise for your abilities.” Smiling she looked at Charlie, to seem him beaming at her. Finally moving her attention to the man next to him, “Lara Morgan” extending her hand, “Grayson Stone”, “Producer I assume, You look like the money” raising an eyebrow questionly. “Guilty” He replied rather sheepishly. The man looked absolutely dashing in his designer suit. Yes, definitely the money. Grayson Kent had the looks, the charm and the sex appeal, flashing the sultry brunette a devastatingly charming smile, he thought it wouldn’t be too long before she’d fall like they all do. Little did he know Lara Morgan knew this game all too well, the film industry taught her to be an expert in it. Producing a smile of her own, Kent couldn’t help but follow the dimples that appeared on either side of her cheeks. Oh yes, he thought, this is one challenge he will conquer.
As he watched her smile, Grayson almost didn’t notice the other two men looking between the pair, in fact the entire restaurant seemed to fade away, until he heard a slight cough, realised he was still holding her hand. Smiling he sat down.
He could help himself but he appreciated her every curve as raked his eyes up and down her gorgeous form. He didn’t think a dress could be any tighter than what she was wearing but it clung to her every curve and he couldn’t help but envy that dress. God what was happening to him? Envious of a dress?! He pushed the thought away. Looking straight in to her eyes, he noticed she was looking right back at him, and she knew he was appreciating the view. His eyes flashed with a look of desire and he knew she saw it.
She seemed to look right through him, those eyes, almost the colour of a golden honey yet tonight he could swear they were green. Turning his attention away from the beauty in front of him he mustered as much of his attention span to Charlie as he could. God knows that woman was distracting and by the look in her eye she knew exactly how to play that game.
Anything to keep himself from staring at her, the desire was as clear as day in his eyes, it was embarrassing. The evening progressed and he felt himself almost exploding at the table especially when she had to put on her glasses to read. Hot Librarians had nothing on this woman, he thought.
Not only was this woman fucking sexy, she was intelligent, seductive, and talented and not in the least bit affected by him. What does he have to do get this woman, a woman dripping in sex appeal, she barely noticed the gazes of all the men in the restaurant. Before he could react her eyes were on him, boring right through him. Again. She smiled. Fuck, she knows exactly what he was thinking, how could she not he was basically undressing her with his eyes. Let her come to you Kent, then we level the playing field, because so far you aint got nothing!
