Reaching for her key, Lara could stop but the images of Grayson Kent flooding her mind. The man was a dish. She would give him that, Crystal Blue eyes, dark shaggy locks and a smile that could break any woman’s heart. Not to mention the body. The man wasn’t good looking. He was drop dead gorgeous.
Walking into her studio apartment she freed herself of the dress she had been itching to remove all night, couldn’t stop herself thinking of Grayson Kent removing the dress. Chastising herself for the thought she headed to her closet to pull the nearest t-shirt that she hoped was clean. Doning a torn, but loved Ramones t-shirt she climbed straight into bed. “Hmmm maybe on to many tequila’s” before she knew it she was lights out.
Stopping on the corner of his date’s apartment Grayson lead his date out and kissed her on the cheek only to return to the car. To say that his date was unhappy at not having Grayson Kent in her bed tonight would be an understatement, but Grayson couldn’t get the beauty out of his head. Hair as black as night, eyes the colour of golden honey that seemed to bore right through him almost as if she knew what he was thinking. Lips full and red, lips he couldn’t help but wishing that he was discovering tonight. Think about her body made him hard. A waist so small he could imagine wrapping his hands around it, the curve of her hips to her legs seemed like the perfect hourglass. What he would give to have those legs wrapped around his hips. Feeling the strain in his groin he pushed aside the images of that beauty vowing that he will find her and make sure she is in his bed one way or another.
The next morning pulling herself out of bed with strain, and headed straight to the shower Lara couldn’t help but relax as the warm water cascaded down her body slowly ebbing away the nasty Tequila headache. Feeling the ache of her muscles disappear she headed to the closet pulling out her favourite pair of washed out demin shorts and live-in Metallica t-shirt, one thing she couldn’t live without was her band t-shirt collection, a conclusion to every festival she has ever attended. Donning her worn out ankle boots, and hair tied up she looked over her appearance and headed for the door grabbing her bag on the way out. She knew she had to get to the studio and finish up some paperwork, her least favourite part of the job, but had to be done. Stopping to soak up the heat of a sunny California day she headed straight to the nearest Starbucks. Coffee, a must for the headache she was feeling and the day that was ahead.
That first sip was all she needed to get herself to the studio, but as Hollywood would have it, Actors seemed to attract the paparazzi vultures. No sooner had she jumped out the way of some mad man with a pointing finger and camera glued to his face, did she notice none other than Grayson Stone heading to the Starbucks she just walked out of.
God that man was gorgeous and everywhere, How do I escape someone I’m supposed to work with? Stepping in to the nearest shop she could find to get out of the way, as the bell chimed at the arrival of someone in the shop did she realise she walked into a record shop. She loved the vinyl classics and bee-lined straight to her favourite genre. Flicking through the albums looking for her favourite album, engrossed in finding the rare Metallica, S & M vinyl she craved to get her hands on every time she found a record shop, which was rare, seeing as technology seemed to forget the classics and follow straight to a world she barely understood; downloading, did she notice at the back of her mind, the bell chime again.
Disappointed at the lack of selection in the shop she turned to head out and came face first to a wall. However this was no brick wall but the rock hard chest of none other than Grayson Stone.
With his hands on her arms to steady her he looked deep into eyes. Vaguely she heard him speaking but couldn’t believe the one man she couldn’t get out of her head seemed to be everywhere she looked. Composing herself she apologised and headed for the door, not before she realised his arm had reached out and grabbed her before she could escape. “I know you.” He said she seemed so familiar yet he couldn’t place her. She was no doubt absolutely stunning, those eyes; he had definitely seen those eyes before. This woman took his breath away. “Sorry maybe you have me confused with someone else”, “Do you know who I am?” smiling but giving no hint to the effect this man had on her away, “I think everyone knows who you are.” And with that she headed for the door.
Looking at the woman who seemed so unaffected by his presence he shook his head, those eyes, they seemed like he had seen them before. He just couldn’t think where. No woman had been able to refuse his charm before, except one. Then as if a wave of realisation hit him, he knew he could never forget those eyes. Running for the door onto the street, trying to find her, he had to find her.
She was gone. Again.
Damn this woman was infuriating…
Hurrying across the street without looking Lara headed to the studio, the further away from Grayson Kent the better.
