Set Aflame

This is edited but I'm tired so there might still be a handful of typos and stuff.

"You did what?"

You take a sip of your water and sigh. You're on a couch in front of a fireplace at Yoongi's house. At the Love a Latte Café, Jungkook tried to ask you questions about the fire and the guys that attacked you and Mika, but you didn't answer him.

Instead, you waited for Yoongi's car to show up and left with no promise that you would tell Jungkook anything. You're not sure what to say to him after what he saw. You don't even know what happened yourself, or why.

"My roommate Mika and I were attacked on our way home and she is now scared of me."

"So she kicked you out?" Yoongi asks. He leans back into his plush, leather loveseat, one leg crossed in front of him over his knee. There's a large black cat with emerald eyes sitting on his lap.

Yoongi has been a family friend for your entire life. He's practically your big brother. He and his little sister Yura, who is two years younger than him, went to school with Jin and Namjoon when they were kids. They've known about your powers for your whole life- even since before you knew how to control them.

You liked Yoongi a lot when you were a kid-even had a crush on him- because he was calm and didn't tease you when your brothers and Yura did. He thinks about things with a level head and doesn't like  to yell at people or get into drama.

You purse your lips. "I'm not sure if she's going to make me move out or if she just needs time or... whatever. I don't know if she'll even want to talk to me about it."

"And the boy from the coffee shop saw it too and helped you?"

"Yeah. I met him on Monday. We're friends now I guess."

Monday. That feels like forever ago. So much has happened since you met him.

"Did anyone else see you?"

"I don't know. I didn't notice anyone other than Mika, Jungkook, and the three other dudes."

There's a sound of scratching at the back door- most likely Holly, Yoongi's dog- and the cat, Dako, jumps off of his lap and bolts out of the room.

Yoongi rubs his forehead and gets up to go let Holly in. He's wearing a dark purple robe over light blue striped pajamas and white slippers. His dark red hair falls in messy tangles over his forehead.

"Okay," he says. "Well, it's probably fine. If this Mika girl says anything, no one will believe her. And Jungkook didn't seem like a snitch. Let's just go to bed and sleep it off. Do you know how long you're gonna be here for?"

You shake your head. "I'll figure it out tomorrow. I'll try not to be here past the weekend."

"Good. I wish I could keep you here for longer, but people will catch on and start rumors."

You nod. Yoongi is one of the most famous producers in Korea, and has done collaborations with different artists all around the world. He's helped make music for well known movies, songs on the radio, and has even released a couple of mixtapes under the name Agust D.

It makes you feel proud since he, like you, didn't come from much. Plus, when you get to hang out with him (which is pretty rare because he's so busy all the time), he lets you see some pretty cool shit and do things you wouldn't be able to do on your own budget.

"I've got to get some sleep before tomorrow," Yoongi says, scratching the back of his head. "So I'm gonna go to bed. You should sleep too."

"You can go," you say. "I'm gonna finish my water first."
