Flicker: Time is Ticking

Prologue: Awakening

Austin felt like he had just been hit on the head as he woke up in an unfamiliar place. He didn't know where he was, there were weird tubes and beside him was a room full of boxes. He heard others chatting close by, so he decided to head over.

 "We need to find some way to get out of this place....." Kim remarked, glancing around the place.

"Yeah, where even are we? For real, I didn't expect this." Chidi commented.

 "I think we should be fine if we just wait for help? We've been kidnapped. There's no way we just somehow stumbled into here." Peter explained as he sat down.

"Let's just search the place for now." Rosalie suggested.

Alex noticed Austin coming towards them. He started walking towards him.

"Hey dude! Do you know where we are? Are you the one who brought us here?" Alex questioned Austin, suspicious of him.

"Woah, uh- no...I just woke up. And why do I feel like I'm gonna throw up?" Austin muttered, still feeling disoriented from before.

"Woah! You better not actually do that..." Anna said, backing away cautiously.

"That's it, we're never going to make it out of this place..." Mateo muttered helplessly.

"Hey, cheer up! We'll definitely get out of here." Jamila tried cheering him up.

"Pfft, can't believe I'm stuck here in this place. Does anyone even live here? There's jail cells in the back too." Jean-Claude wondered to himself.

"Okay guys, I suggest we be serious here, or we're aren't gonna get anywhere." Nave insisted.

Everyone turned to face him. They wondered what he meant by getting serious.

"Then, what do you suggest we do?" Alex questioned him.

"Search the place, duh. Did nobody hear what Rosalie said earlier? We'll just split up." Nave answered as if it were the most obvious thing.

"I agree with what he said. Our kidnapper might come back and tie us up sooner or later if we don't do anything, so we better get moving as quick as possible." Halona spoke up after being silent for most of the time.

"You know, I'll stay here...I don't wanna be exploring an unfamiliar environment. What if something bad happens?" Alab worried.

"Alright, if that's what you wanna do, then go ahead. But I'm gonna look around." Jacob answered.

Some people stayed, while others started searching around. It looked like a lab of sorts, and weird objects in casings.

~With Chidi, Kim and Peter~

"Huh, what's this? A glowing purple ball? Do you see that too?" Chidi asked.

"Yeah, what even is that? This place is weird. I don't understand why our kidnapper couldn't just tie us up in a warehouse instead." Kim commented.

"That's the question. What purpose do they even have of bringing us here, and where even is this so called, "kidnapper" that's here?" Peter questioned to no one in particular.

"Yep, just gotta keep searching. Wonder if the others have found anything yet." Chidi said.

"Do...you think we're gonna get outta here, ever? I mean, I don't think I've had enemies in my life. Why would someone kidnap us?" Alab wondered.

"Hah, what kind of question is that? Of course we'll get out of here! Nobody kidnaps me and gets away with it." Christy asserted.
