7. Restless night

That night lexa couldn't sleep, it was almost morning already but she hadn't closed one eye.
She was nervous and excited for tomorrow, but she was also scared.
What if something happened? What if Clarke found out about her way of life before she could explain her. What if Clarke wouldn't like her, or even hate her.
And if she came back home after the week, then she had the conclave almost inmidiatly. She wouldn't even have time to train anymore!

"Well, if I can't sleep, I can check my stuff." Lexa wispered to herself. As she got up form her bed and walked to her desk to get the information she has about the coming week.
First sheet was an explanation about what would happen. She and the other natblidas would go to an techkru family in the nearest techkru nation to grounder territory. All natblidas would go to an family on their own in different city's.

On the other pages there was information about family Griffin, lexa readed all of it and checked the list with stuff she had to bring with her. Indra already packed everything for her, she should thank indra for that when she saw her again.
"Okay i do have everything I think, but what am I going to wear tomorrow?" She thought.
"I don't want to show up in an outfit of a warrior, that may scare her. So I probably should pick some of the techkru clothes." She walked to the box with clothes and pulled out something to wear.
Lexa looked at her favorite candle, this was her favorite because it showed the time. It was already 5 am, so she decided to put the clothes on to get used to them. Also she braided her hair, she didn't mind to go to an techkru family as long as her hair was perfect.

She looked at herself in the mirror, and she almost didn't recognize herself. She didn't look like a warrior, like a leader, like who she was. She looked like a techkru girl, like someone who may have never touched a sword before, like Clarke.
"I can do this." She said. "Why have I ever doubt that?"

Some times later a guard came to her room to get lexa her stuff,
"You can bring that downstairs with you, thank you. I will bring my last stuff with me downstairs and then I am ready to go." Lexa told him.
The guard nodded and took her stuff downstairs, lexa heared the other guards taking stuff from the other natblidas downstairs too.
Lexa wanted to leave too, but as she looked trough her room to not forget anything her eyes landed on the picture of Clarke. It's was lying above her normal outfit and one of her knifes. She grabbed them all and putted them in a small bag she usually brought with her when she went somewhere, and walked downstairs.
