Today is my brothers Christmas Eve party. I'm am currently waiting for Kai to get her ass in my car. I press on the horn twice then completely lay on it.

"Ok! Ok! Shut up! I'm coming! "She yells coming out of the house with bags in her hands.

" That's what she said. "Me and Alexis say at the same time. Dylan shakes her head. Kai gets in the car and I pull off.

" Why are you in such a hurry? "Kai asks.

" I'm trying to set you up with someone and we don't have that much time to get all of us looking hot for this party. "I say.

" Who all did you invite. "

"Us girls. Andrew took the liberty to invite my father. So all of them are coming. Then I told Caden and he said that he's usually with the twins and they might stop by but other than that it's just us girls. "

"Wait! Who are you trying to set me up with? " I smirk.

"I'm not telling you. But you should trust me with this one. " I say.

"Seriously just tell me. " She says.

"No. I'm not going to give in so I'd just quit now. "I say.

There are a lot of people here for this Christmas party. My father , Tamera and my siblings are here scattered around. I'm walking down the stairs and I grab a glass of wine from the open bar.

" How are you feeling? "I turn and see Caden.

" Fine I guess. I just don't wanna have to keep looking over my shoulder wondering when he's going to show up. "I say.

" You're scared. "He says. Hell yea I'm scared. I've always been scared of Devin. I've just been hiding it with anger.

"Come on. Let's go find the others. "We go off and find everyone in the game room playing pool. I close the door and sit on the couch next to Nichol.

" Will you tell me who your setting me up with? "Kai asks. She is currently playing pool with my brothers.

" In a minute. "I take my phone and text Andrew to come to the game room.

" He could walk through that door any minute. "I tease. She rolls her eyes. Just then Andrew walk in and everyone starts laughing.

" What's did I miss? "I stand and grab Kai's arm. I pull her to stand in front of Andrew.

" She needs a drink. Will you go get one with her? "He looks at me suspiciously. I smile innocently. I push them out of the room.

" Have fun! "I say as I close the door.

" I seriously wonder how that's gonna work out. "Alexis says.

" I just don't know how dangerous he is. Yes he abuses me but he's never attempted to kill me. He just said he would. They were just more words that came out of his mouth. Then he flipped the Bugatti.... I just don't want to chance it. "I say.

"I already did. Cade and I talked to Todd. He said that he can't do anything unless he actually does something to me. Which sucks. " I sigh.

"It does suck. Devin just needs to get delt with. You know we have Ivy to help us.? "

"I know but I just don't want to have him taken out because that's what they'll do. I want him in jail. I feel like that's the right thing to do. My life is already so bad and I've done things that aren't right. . I just want to do this one thing the right way. " I shrug.

"Oh my god! Is Tania Davis trying to get her life in check?! " She gasps dramatically. I slap her arm.

"Hey! I finally decided what I wanna do when I grow up. " I say with a toothy grin. She laughs.

"And what do you wanna be when you grow up? " She crosses her arms. I turn serious.

"I wanna be a detective. " She scoffs.

"You.. Working as the law when you don't like the law. " She rolls her eyes.

"I'm serious. I like what they do. And I could seriously turn my life around with this. And it's time. Yes I'd have to go to college and I've applied to different places. I'm hoping to get into at least one. " I say.

"I'd never thought I'd see the day. " She says and shakes her head.

"I want to make my parents proud. And I guess just seeing how successful Drew is... I just don't wanna let him down most of all because he's the one who put up with all my shit. " I sip on my wine and play with the Velcro on my splint.

"That's good... For real. You need to turn your life around. I guess it's time for all of us to realize that. What we do isn't gonna get us anywhere. If anything we'd end up in jail or dead. " She says. She's right though. And I was serious about the detective thing. I've been around cops for a long time. I feel that maybe that's my path.

"You ok? " Dylan asks. I nod.

"I wonder how life is gonna be like 8 , 9,10 years from now. "

"What will I be doing.? "Dylan asks.

"Married to your third husband and working at Vogue. Or maybe a fashion designer. Anything in fashion or beauty. " I snicker. She rolls her eyes.

"Of course you'll see me doing something like that. That's Mindy . Not me. "She says.

" Twins are always more alike than you think. "I say.

" Just because you and Asher are alike doesn't mean every set of twins are . "She says with narrow eyes.
