"I think that your mom wants to talk to you." Ashton said when he came back into my room again.

I groaned and burried my face into my pillow.

"I think that she might have something to say that you want to hear." He whispered to me.

"I highly doubt that."

"Becky." He said with a threatening tone.

I sat up and looked at him. "She better have something important to say."

He smiled proud as i slowly got out of bed.

"Hold on I'll help you." He said as he saw me struggle to walk down the stairs.

Before i could say no he trew my arm over his shoulder and lifted almost all my weight of the ground.

I looked outside to see my mother sitting on a chair in the middle of the garden.

I sighed and looked to Ashton who gave me a thumbs up.

I walked outside and went to stand infront of her.

"You wanted to talk to me?" I aksed her.

She nodded. "I wanted to apologise for my behaviour towards you. Specifically for the words that I've said."

"That's all?" I said unsatisfied with her apology.

She shook her head. "Please sit down."

I sat down next to her in the grass and waited on her to start talking.

"I know that i sometimes come over as harsh or rude but i just want what's best for you. But i never want you to hurt yourself in any way because of the things i say. You just need to ignore me sometimes."

I laughed when she said that. "I can't just simply ignore you, it doesn't work like that."

"What will work for you?"

I sighed. "I don't know."

"I just want to say I'm sorry for everything I've done. For all the stupid things i said. I want you know that I'm sorry before i won't be able to tell it to you anymore."

I stayed quiet for a minute because i simply couldn't forgive her. She might say sorry now but tomorrow she will say something mean again.

"How are you feelling?" I asked changing the subjects even though i knew that she most likely wouldn't give an honest answer.

"I've been better but I've also been worse." She said with a small smile.

"Michael told me that I'm doing surprisingly well. He even give me a few months extra."

I didn't say anything to that because i didn't care about that. I didn't want a few more months, i wanted years.

"You're not alright are you?" I asked serious.

She sighed and remained quiet for a second.

"No I'm not. My body may say i am but my brain doesn't believe that." She said eventually.

"What am i going to do?" I said as i heard my voice breaking.

"You're going to be strong for Jack he needs a mother figure in his life. But you're also need to be there for Ashton. He wants to make sure that you're okay and might forget his own needs. You need make sure that he will be okay." She spoke slowly.

"I will." I said with tears in my eyes. I could tell that she was saying goodbye. Michael may think that she still had a few months to go but i could tell that that wasn't true.

"It feels like a goodbye." I almost whispered.

"Every conversation these days feels like an goodbye." She said with a sad face.

"I love you." I said as I felt tears falling down my face. I didn't want to say it but i fely like this would be my last chance.

"I love you too." She said as she stroked my head.

We both stared quiet infront of us until the sun started to slowy set.

"It looks so pretty doesn't it?" She said looking at the sunset.

"Yeah it does." I said as i wished that i could've had these moments with my mother without her having to be dying.

"What are you guys doing?" Somebody asked.

I quickly turned around and saw Jack standing behind me with his plush lion in his hand.

I smiled at him and gestured to him to sit down. "We were enjoying the beauty of the sunset." I whispered to Jack once he sat down on my lap.

"Seems kinda boring." He said.

My mom smiled and turned herself to Jack. "Beauty doesn't have to entertaining. You just need to be silent and appreciate it."

"Go sit with mom." I whispered to Jack.

He nodded and went to sit next to my mom on her chair.

My mom started to point to clouds and had Jack say what they looked like to keep him a bit entertained.

I waited for a minute before i stood up and went back inside.

"And? Did she have something to say that you wanted to hear." Ashton asked from the couch.

I sat down next to him. "I don't know if i wanted to hear it but i definitely needed to hear it."

"I told you." He said with a big smile.

I rolled my eyes and got up.

"Where are you going?" He aksed in a sad tone.

"I'm gonna see if Maddy is still alive." I yelled back as i slowly walked up the stairs.

I hadn't talked to Maddy since summer started because she had no wifi and
i hadn't had the time to call her yet. I also didn't really have a good reason to call because all that had happend was bad news.

I layed down on my bed and waited for her to pick up the phone.

"Omg finally, i thought that you would  never call. How are you?" She said excited.

"I've been better but tell me about your vacation. Have you meet any hot guys yet?" I said jokingly.

She laughed. "Well I've seen plenty of hot guys but none of them saw me."

"Still no wifi?" I asked.

"No not yet. We're currently on our way to Greece were we will stay for a few days. I'll  have wifi then so that we can text."

"Sounds good to me."

"What did you mean by I've been better?" She aksed in a softer tone.

"I just had surgery. I got my appendix removed."

"Holy shit. Why didn't you tell me sooner? Are you still in hospital? Ive got so many questions."

I smiled." Relax I'll tell you everything. I got back from the hospital yesterday and I'm currently recovering at home."

"Does it still hurt?"

"No, not really."

I heard her sigh. "How do you sound so calm? I would've freaked out."

"Well you don't live with 4 doctors." I said laughing.

"Well i guess that's true. I've got to go but I'll talk to you soon,okay?"

"Okay, stay safe."

"You too and get better soon, byeee."
