Chapter 9

"Newt" Alby says "Hes awake"

"On our way" I say hanging up. "Hes awake" I tell Minho. He nods and pays for his cut. We get in the car again. This time the trip is quiet and Mimhos klunk driving came back. It gives me time to think. I hope Tommy is fine and it was just the excercise of the brain. I shouldnt had make him look more bloody photos. Its all my fault. I put my hand to my eyes and sigh.

"Whats wrong?" Minho asks.

"Nothing just thinking" I say not wanting to preocupate Minho. He just nods and continues to drive badly.We get there in twenty minutes. We get down and look for Tommys room. 248, 249, 250. Here. Room 250. I hesitate before entering. "What if hes worst than before?" I shiver at the thought.

"Want me to carry you slinthead?" Minhos irritating voice whispers. I glare at him and enter slowly. Everybodys eyes turn to us. Chuck and Brenda are blocking my view from Tommy. I walk towards the bed and make my way through them. Hes looking out the window. He looks exactly the same the only thing different is that he has a needle thing in his hand.

"Hey" I say softly. He looks over at me and smiles.

"Hey" he says back "Was waiting for you shuckface" I smile. Hes the same. Nothing has changed.

"How do you feel?" Minho asks from behind.

"Very tired and with a horrible headache" he says with a sigh. I nod and take a seat nearby on the floor. A nurse enters "Ill need everyone out to do some tests on Thomas" she says politely with a small smile. I groan. I just seated down. Chuck comes to me and extends a hand which I gladfully take. He pulls me up suddenly with a strength I didnt knew he had and I trip from the sudden pull and fall into him. We all laugh even the nurse. They help us stand up and we at last go outside. I seat down next to Alby and Frypan. I feel something missing. Like someone was here but now its not. I start looking, trying to see who it is. Then it hits me. Alice is missing. I decide to text her again.
N: where are youuuuu?
A: at my houuuuuseeeeeee. Whyyyyyyy???????
N: just wonderiiiiiiiing. You coming baaaaaaaack?
A: yeah just came heeereeee to changeeeee clothessssssss
N: okayyyyyyyyy :)
A: see you in teeeeeeeeen.
N: be faaaaaaast
A: what do you miiiiiiiiss meeee shuck faaaaaaaceeeeeee? I smile. "Yes I miss you" I was going to text. But instead I put something else.
N: maaaaaayyyyybeeeeee
A: :D Alice is just wonderful. I really want to get to know her better. She looks like a really good person. I sigh and smile. Just thinking of Alice makes my insides twist. Alby notices and nudges me.

"What you thinking in that shucking head of yours?" he asks. I smile even more.

"Someone" I say.

"Ohhhhhhh is Newt thinking about her?"

I frown. About her? Do they know Im starting to fall for Alice?

"Whom do you think?" I ask serious.

"I dont know" he says putting his hand to his chin and making a thinking face "Maybe Alice?"

I stand up not wanting to continue with the talk. I now sit next to Chuck.

"You okay with the freaking fall?" he asks once I sit down. I laugh.

"Yeah" I say.

"And how have you been with Thomas and Ace?" he asks.

"Well everythings fine just a bit difficult" I say. The nurse gets out and tells us we can enter again. We enter and sit down.

"What did the nurse said?" Brenda asks.
