"Hey, I'm here! You almost ready?" I called walking into the front door."Hey" Buck appeared in his living room. "Glad you're here beautiful, I'm almost ready" he smiled at me.
I put my bags down and followed him to the kitchen.
"Did you get a haircut?" I asked running my hands through his hair just to have him try to pull away.
"Yes babe I got a haircut" he laughed lightly grabbing at my hands. "And you're messing it up right now"
"Why did you get a haircut? We're just going to see my parents" I giggled grabbing a bottle of water from his fridge.
"Because everything has to be perfect, Y/N" he laughed tapping my nose lightly. "You'll love the news clothes I got too" he said moving around me and heading to the bedroom.
"I love all your clothes Buck" I giggled before I realized what he said. "Wait new clothes? You got new clothes too?" I followed him into the room.
"Everything's got to be-"
"Perfect, I know I know" I breathed sitting on the bed. "So what else do you have to do?"
"Just wash the Jeep" he smiled.
"Do we really need to? It is a two hour drive it's probably going to get dirty on the way anyways"
"It's pretty bad" he laughed motioning to the window.
I looked out and saw his Jeep completely caked with mud.
"Alright then, let's go" I popped up off the bed.
"You're going to help me?" He rose an eyebrow at me.
"Of course I am silly" I kissed his shoulder as I passed him. "Plus if it will get us moving any faster I am totally in"
We had started washing the Jeep and were getting done a lot quicker than I had thought.
"You're being ridiculous, you know" I finally laughed towards Buck.
"What do you mean?" He asked acting offended.
"Everything is going to go great, you have nothing to worry about"
"You don't know that, they could hate me"
I started to look up at him with a laugh before I realized he looked completely serious.
"Oh my god, they're not going to hate you, now you're really being ridiculous" I rolled my eyes at him.
"Oh yeah? Well you're ridiculous" he joked splashing some of the bubbles up at me.
I sat with my mouth wide open staring at him.
"You did not just do that" I exclaimed splashing some at him.
"Not as much as you just did" he yelled splashing more.
Before I knew it we were in an all out water war. We were still cleaning the car but just as much water was getting on ourselves as it was the car.
By the time the car was done we couldn't help but look at ourselves and laugh a little.
"Well the car's done but you my dear are a mess" Buck laughed tugging at my wet shirt.
"You should see yourself, sweetheart" I laughed. "We better change quickly so we can get on the road so we're not super late" I explained pulling at my shirt myself.
We ran inside to change as quick as possible. I had decided to just grab one of Buck's shirts since it was the easiest solution. He walked into the room as I was tying a knot in his shirt so it would fit me better.
"Absolutely adorable" he kissed me quick with a smile.
"You ready to go?" I smiled wrapping my arms around his middle.
"As ready as I'll ever be" he chuckled giving me a quick squeeze.
"Come on" I rolled my eyes at him pulling him to the car.
The whole way there I kept noticing his nervous little ticks. I thought it was adorable that he was still worried about meeting my parents.
"Stop being so worried" I giggled as we got closer to my parents house.
"I am terrified, babe" he chuckled.
"I don't understand why you're so worried, they will absolutely love you. And if they don't, it doesn't matter. It's not going to change the fact that I love you, you're stuck with me" I breathed a laugh.
I felt him take my hand in his and pull it to his lips giving it a kiss.
"I love you and I'm really hoping they like me because you're stuck with me too" he smiled at me as he pulled into the driveway of my parents house and put the car in park.
I turned and smiled at him before leaning in to meet his lips in a gentle loving kiss.
"They're going to love you just as much as I do, I know it" I smiled at him before moving to get out of the car.
Everything went well, just like I had thought. My parents loved Buck to pieces and they weren't afraid to let him know it.
I had shared with them at dinner the fact that Buck was so nervous about meeting them and they couldn't help but laugh. It was all comical really. He was so worried about meeting my parents that we ended up laughing at that fact all through dinner.
I was stuck with him, he was stuck with me. I wouldn't have it any other way.
