Chapter 9 - Trapped

Percy

Light blinds me as I struggle to open my eyes.

I try to lift my hands to cover my eyes but they would not budge so I screw my eyes close waiting for my eyes to adjust. As they do I try to lift my head to get a look at what was holding me down but as I did a pressure starts to form on my neck stopping me from breathing.

I panic.

I can't be back their again.

Please I can't go through that again.

I struggle trying to force my way out of the bonds. I try to look from side to side to see if anyone was their but it was only me surrounded by walls of mirrors that reflect my panic back at me. I can't be trapped again. I won't be trapped again.

I would rather die.

I try to calm my breathing. Close my eyes. Breath in. Breath out. In. Out. Just like Hydra taught me. I need to relax. I clear my mind and surrender to the darkness.

I look up and open my eyes studying my surroundings. There is a door marked out on corner of the mirror to the right. I gaze up and saw a small camera facing me and another watching the door. So I can't escape without someone seeing.

Great, just great.

Fury POV

I stare at the young man before me through the one sided mirror. I am having trouble believing his story but the hatred that plastered his eyes when he spoke the words could not be denied.

Also I couldn't be he had nearly killed me. If it wasn't for Natasha I would be dead and for real this time. This young man who wasn't even eighteen years old bested me.

I tare down my thought wall and gaze back at Perseus. I wonder, what made him so special? What made him tick?

I pick his file out of the slot under the window and read;

NAME: Perseus Jackson aka The Cyclone
AGE: 17
IDENTIFIED GENDER: Male
NATIONALITY: American
DOB: 18th August 1992
PARENTS: Mother - Sally Jackson (Blofis). Father - Unknown. Step fathers - Gabe Ugliano (location unknown) and Paul Blofis (currently married to Sally Jackson)
APPEARANCE: Jet black hair, Sea green eyes, Swimmers build, 6"5, 126"
DISABILITIES: Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and Dyslexia
PHYSICAL RESULTS: Scars of front and back from knife wounds, Faded scars on back from a whip or belt, Scars around neck, wrists and feet from restraints (in total 15% of the skin is covered in scars), Damage to nerves from electrocution, Several bones that have been broken or fractured and never properly healed, Strong arm and leg muscles. Overall a fit young man but must of had troble in the pass.
REASON FOR SUSPICION: Kicked out of 8/9 schools in the weirdest ways (eg. Blowing up a gym and school bus), Missing person and suspected terrorist at age 12, On multiple occasion seen running around with other children holding a hockey stick and baseball bat, Went missing for six months before captured after blowing up strawberry fields in Long Island by SHIELD.
WEAPONS: Found with a sword and gun.
PREVIOUS MEETINGS: Held in a cell in The Fridge for 2 months and 10 days before Hydra broke in - No entrees of what happened their, Tried to assassinate Director Fury and failed (just).

I frown.

The results from the physical suggest there has been torture done previously but there is no record pf it on file.

Surly there would of been some note of Perseus torture - there normally is. But then again torture is never applied on some less than 21 so why would of it been approved on a sixteen year old?

Questions started forming in my brain.

What happened to this boy? Why does he blame SHIELD? Was he really tortured? Why?

I could only come up with one answer.

Hydra.

They must behind it.

But why did they go through all that to gain the trust of one boy?

This made me really want to know the answer to two questions.

Who really was Perseus Jackson? And how did Hydra know?

I was really unsure about this chapter and left it for ages to write it.

Sorry it is so short.

Anyway I have exams for the next two weeks so wish me well.
